Made more progress on my silly wip 👀

Hoping to summon more Wangjue enjoyers with this 🙏🤧💕💕💕

Randomly had an idea for a wangjue au so I need to speak it into existence!

Recently and in the past, I've read stuff with the troupe of "Person A is sent as Person B's wife to be a sacrifice". And my brain was like, "Why not consider LWJ and NMJ in this scenario.

Some some random points I'm coming up with on the spot:

■ NMJ is a God/Beast/Dragon/Bull (? Anything can work here) that has recently changed the past few centuries. Previously, humans had been able to live peacefully along side him. But something happened. 🤔

□Could be betrayal? He's been corrupted? The villagers somehow harmed/slayed his brother?

■ LWJ gets chosen to be the bride after his brother goes missing. Both were considered good candidates with their musical talents. LXC was just the first choice due to his more friendly appearance.

□ Turns out NMJ encountered his future "bride before" when LWJ was little. Back when his wrath was more suppressed? Or maybe while he's still grieving the loss of his brother? (Depends where the plot goes).

■NMJ had never been that interested in these "brides". Until he encounters LWJ 🤭

□ At some point we need LWJ playing the guqin or humming for NMJ 🙏

Okay I said I wouldn't share anymore of my nmj/lwj wip, but I'm so slow 🐌😥

I can't help it, so here's a little peak at the day version (I put the night one again for comparison, hehe) . It's still very much a wip, especially the hair lol I'm still figuring it out.

I basically used an innocent reference as a starting point and ended up here. Corpse NMJ getting freaky with LWJ (˘ ˘ ˘) It's funny because I got the idea after trying to figure out what to do with NMJ's arms. In the end I was like why not just have it cut off?

Anyway I hope y'all enjoy and eat well! I hope to make more AH fanart next!

Alrighty Wangjue/Mingji/Juezhan/ Mingwang (?) nation, y'all have been waiting a long time for this NMJ/LWJ wip I've been teasing.

Well it's finally done. I thought I'd do more to their hair on the day version, but I just wanted to be finished with it so I can make more art for them (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Like fanart for @riikaa-chan's incredible fic Awakened Hearts!

Seriously give it a read if you like NMJ/LWJ! Rediscovering their fanfic gave me the inspiration and drive to work on this Wangjue art (which I know there is so little for them T^T). Maybe this will inspire more fan works too ヽ(ﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾉ Or at least I can hope lol

Sharing a NMJ/LWJ wip I started working on after getting inspiration! It's mainly due to the fact that a few days ago I discovered my favourite fanfic for them that vanished got reworked and reposted! It's called Awakened Hearts by Riaball.

I eventually hope to make fan art for the fic, but for now I'm doing this wip!

I have to say I have great respect for fan artists who draw their long hair and robes, because I was struggling. I'm too used to drawing short hair and baseball uniforms at this point. But it's a nice change from what I've been doing lately!

Alright my secret WIP is finally complete, it only took me forever LOL If you were not already aware, I am a huge fan of @riikaa-chan's fanfic Awakened Hearts. I knew as soon as I read this scene in chapter two that I had to draw fanart for this scene.

Now there are many ways to interpret it and I even asked my sister @peerlesscucumber for their opinion while making this little comic thingy? Technically NMJ could be laying near LWJ and burying his face in the robes, but he could also be in a sort of hug/mid collapse position on LWJ shoulder. In the end I went with Nie Mingjue laying/collapsed in Lan Wangji's lap. (Who knows maybe in the future I'll revisit this and try drawing one of the other possibilities, but this is what I did for now)

Well since this is done I am off to make more Wangjue fanart! Some from memes and others as fanart from more of Riaball's fanfics! ໒( ͡ᵔ ▾ ͡ᵔ )७

Fun fact: it mainly started after Riikaa-chan's first work got deleted, and I was trying to cheer myself up 🙈💕 But now the fic is back and better than ever 👌
