Secrets Don’t Make Friends (But Sometimes Make Lovers)

When FP Jones II is murdered in the south side of Riverdale, Betty Cooper learns a something that could change her life and the lives of those around her forever. She meets with Jughead Jones, an old family friend, to get to the bottom of the murder of his father while also uncovering a web of secrets neither she nor Jughead are prepared for. Will all the secrets rip the two of them apart forever?

Preview of Ch 1:

“B, your mom called while you were out. She asked that you call back when you get the chance. She seemed upset.” Veronica Lodge had been fielding phone calls from Alice Cooper since she could remember agreeing to work for her most trusted friend.

Elizabeth Cooper, or Betty as she preferred, had just returned to her desk at The Scoop, which was her baby. She started the newspaper- which spanned across several states and then some- just after finishing her masters degree in photographic journalism. She started the paper from the ground up, filling the editorial, photographer, and author rolls all by herself. She brought Veronica on when her workload got too heavy to manage on her own, and since The Scoop had been doing so well, Betty was able to add a few more to her small staff.

“She seemed upset, huh? Like angry because I haven’t been home in a few years or like sad upset?” Betty asked. She despised talking to her mother most days.

“Upset like sobbing into the phone. Look, B. I love you like you were my flesh and blood sister and I know how little you want to speak to your mom. Believe me, if I were in your shoes, I’d feel the same. But this was for real. Call her.”

I woke up this morning thinking about how important the Supernatural family is to me. The show/you guys has changed a lot in my life and made such a huge impact. I felt something heavy pressing me to write this post. I know we all get discouraged sometimes and that can be hard to get through. But if you're feeling like that, you have an army of people who want to love and support you, you just need to ask. I've met my lifelong best friends through the supernatural family, they have opened up so much in my life and constantly been there for support so many times that I don't know what I'd do without them. I hope that all of you have made friends like this, and if you haven't found yours yet, I'll always be here to talk! This family is love, this family is support, and this family is kindness and acceptance towards everyone. We can't ever lose sight of this because that's what makes us an amazing family. Don't forget to always keep fighting and never give up because you are enough and you are loved ❤️
