“Do you trust me?” the question left your lips as a sweet and soft whisper. Jughead remained silent but he nodded with his head.

After a hard, boring and usual day at the Riverdale high school you and your friend Jughead walked to your home for a study session.
Of course Pop’s was the first option but the football team was there celebrating last night’s victory and you both didn’t want to hear and stand them more than you had to at school.
It really started as a study session because of the enormous tone of pages you have to study for that exam the biology teacher decided to put from one day to another, but the books and pens were left aside when suddenly Jug asked about you and your aunt’s relationship and how it was going.
Your mother passed away when you were four years old because of a cancer she couldn’t beat. Until three months ago you used to live with you dad, but he left because of his work. At first he didn’t want to leave you but you knew that the chance of working in Chicago for the company he had been working on for more than ten years was one of your father’s unfulfilled dreams, so you ended up convincing him.
Since that moment you’ve been living with your mother’s sister. “A woman difficult to get along with”, that was the opinion the Riverdale neighbors had about your aunt, and it’s not that they were completely wrong, but also the fact that they had never tried for real with her.
Living with her was not bad at all, but just not the easiest. When you needed time to yourself, when you wanted or needed to be alone you headed to the house you used to live with your father. House you kept calling home.
Jughead knew that you were not having the best time of your life living with your aunt and although he didn’t want to recognize it out loud, he was pretty worried about you.
With that question he made your previous conversation about biology stuff turned to something really far away from that. It leaded to the bond you and Jughead shared. You two have been friends for three years now. Your friendship started as a current relationship between classmates. With the pass of the time it became a stronger and more meaningful thing between you two.
Months passed without you wanting to admit it until one day, your friend Betty Cooper, finally made you said it; you like Jughead as something more than a friend but didn’t want to tell him because you were afraid he maybe doesn’t like you back.
As Betty with Archie, you thought you were happy just having him around as your friend, but the inner you wanted that something else and those words were always in your mind, trying to make you realize it.
But that afternoon, being alone with him, something happened and you could felt it.
His words when you were talking about your current situation were soaked with worry, a tone you never heard in him before. His eyes couldn’t get away from yours. You were really touched by what you were listening and seeing from him. Your hand seemed to react with its own mind when it traveled to his cheek, caressing it. This little contact seemed to affect him. You could see his Adam’s apple going up and down as he swallowed. His lips opened just a little bit and his eyes went from yours to his knees and then back to your eyes again.
“I don’t know exactly why but… I like you caring about me this way” You confessed with a soft smile “I find it very sweet” Your index finger raised a little bit to move a lock of his curled and black hair away from the eye it was almost covering.
“Maybe I don’t show it very often but… I really care about you Y/N” he whispered.
None of you knew how, but suddenly your faces were much closer than just seconds ago. The last words he said were almost whispered on your lips.
“May I try something?” You asked him feeling your heart going crazy inside of your chest. Even though it was only for a second or less you could catch his eyes lowering a little bit to see your lips before his eyes locked with yours once again. He seemed nervous, just as much as you were. “Do you trust me?” the question left your lips as a sweet and soft whisper. Jughead remained silent but he nodded with his head. He didn’t seem to mind when you left your hand caressing his cheek softly while your other hand went to his jacket and grabbed some of the fabric to pull him even closer to you. Your foreheads were touching now and both of your eyes were wide opened, almost as if you were surprised by what was happening. In fact you two were, you were best friends, at least that was what you wanted to keep saying to yourselves meanwhile almost the rest of the Riverdale citizens knew that something else was going on between the beanie boy and the girl with the black military boots. Jughead’s eyes were still locked with yours when you smiled before putting your lips sweetly on his. Seconds passed until he started to kiss back in a really shy way. Your hand went from his cheek to his neck, caressing the whole way, which made him feel better and more secure about the situation. When you felt the tension controlling him at the beginning you tried to break the kiss and start to apologize but he surprised you but pulling you against him again and kissed your lips with the same sweetness and care you did. His hands were both on your wrists but they ended up finding their own way to your hips and back.
It was a soft and really deep kiss, not by the way you were both dong it but because of the many things that the kiss meant and locked.
“I wouldn’t mind more study sessions with you if we’re making the most of it this way” he said with delight in his voice, making you smile widely to him before pulling that black lock of hair away from his eye.
