Rain Dance – By JuiceGodBeats
“Rain Dance” is a literal interpretation on exciting strip club adventures. In hip-hop music, the term “make it rain” is used to describe tipping strippers money. I took this concept and ran with it. For this beat I used rain sounds, water sounds, emergency sirens, and thunder to imitate a real rainstorm. I combined real rain sounds with energetic synthesized patterns and dynamic drums to create a canvas for a strip club type of song. I mainipulated sirens and alarms to excite the listeners of the beat. I layered several synthesized plucks to give the beat a thin non overbearing melody. I tweaked the synths until I got them all to sound like raindrops or thunder! I wanted the rain sounds to drive this beat! I used the timpani and orchestra hits to simulate a tribal rain dance. The deep counter melodies imitated thunder and lightning. I wrote several synthesized lead parts for the hook of the beat to glue all of its elements together. I can hear Travis Porter, Wale, Big Sean, and Waka Flocka on this beat. What do you guys think?
3Hunna – By JuiceGodBeats
3Hunna is symbolic of my progression as a music producer. For this beat, I incorporated several techniques to create a dramatic and intense instrumental atmosphere. Chief Keef was my primary inspiration for this instrumental, so I took several elements from his music and placed them into the beat. Since Chief Keef grew up in a violent area of Chicago, Illinois, his music is regularly filled with narratives about Chicago street life. This beat 3Hunna was intended to be a canvas for a song that Chief Keef would make. I started the beat with the ambient and charismatic pluck sounds you can hear at the beginning of the beat. From the plucks, I added several synth layers to thicken the texture of the track. I wanted to create an epic feeling with this beat so I added several articulate string patterns to imitate a live symphony. For the hook of 3Hunna, I played a brass pattern to create a feeling of “war” or “going to battle”. The brass, tympani, and strings lay the foundation for serious lyrics and a dark tone. I always incorporate three signature elements into my beats: sound layering, videogame influences, and dynamic synthesized leads. Sound layering was fairly simple in this beat as I stacked several synth gates, pads, leads, plucks, and hit layers, with 4 separate string parts, timpani, brass, chants, riser fx, and percussion sounds. The main chant that repeats for most of the beat is a sample from “Streets Of Rage”, a videogame I used to play when I was a little kid. The leads are apparent on the hook of the beat as they compliment the brass. I usually do the drums last in my beats, and 3Hunna was no exception. I added hi-hats, triangles, snares, and 808’s to set the tempo. I can picture Chief Keef, Lil Reese, Fredo Santana, SD, T.I., Boosie, Webbie, and Rick Ross on this beat. What do you guys think?
