To sum up:

- first you need to unlock Sammy as a playable character by collecting 4 candles and Sammy’s mask, then you need to go to a place to?? summon him?? well, something happens there alright,

- as Sammy you need to do the music puzzle! from what i’ve gathered from my gameplay, you need to be lucky with the level having first 5 instruments and then you have to finish the level without dying - the banjo can be found in Boris’ safehouse, i don’t think it spawns on the levels,

- when you click on the last instrument - the banjo (you need to do it as Sammy because they are interactable only for him) - there is a sound of the gate opening - that’s where the secret tape is!

As for the rest of mechanics: yes, you play as Sammy! But ohmygod he is A PAIN to play as - he has a cool teleporting feature - which 100% confirms that he uses the holes in the walls to move around - but. He. Can’t. RUN. Which, if you’re away from Miracle Stations and these holes, pretty much means you’re dead if anyone’s chasing you. And yes, even Alice and Bendy chase him. Sammy is just bound to die a lot dfnkjfdfd

Other stuff:

There is a lost one any of the playable characters can interact with, they stand in a gallery full of contest winners, they praise the art and say sth among the lines that you can look but never touch

There is an entirely new character, Emma Lamont, and she’s the one coming up with dances and providing dance references for the animators. She doesn’t have an office though she does her job in the ladie’s restroom :’(
