This recipe from AnotherFoodBlogger for a Lamb Burger with Harissa and Onions is a tasty take on the usual burger. The sweet caramelized onions and spicy harissa paste go so well with the juicy lamb patty that it makes your mouth water and your burger cravings go away.
Ingredients: 500g ground lamb. 1/4 cup harissa paste. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of cheese optional. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Salt and pepper to taste. Olive oil for cooking.
Instructions: Put the harissa paste, salt, and pepper into a bowl and add the ground lamb. To mix the flavors together, mix them well. Cut the lamb mixture into four equal parts and shape each one into a burger patty. Brush olive oil on a grill or pan that is set over medium-high heat. For medium-rare, add the lamb patties and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes per side. If you like your burgers more done, cook for longer. If you want, you can put slices of cheese on top of the patties and cover them to melt the cheese. For a different recipe, heat a pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil. When you add the sliced onions, cook them while stirring every now and then until they get soft and caramelized. It will take around 10 to 15 minutes. You can grill or toast the burger buns until they are just barely browned. Put lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom bun of each burger to make it. Place the cooked lamb patty on top, along with melted cheese if you're using it. Then, add a lot of caramelized onions on top of that. Finish by adding the top bun to the stack. Now your Lamb Burger with Harissa and Onions is ready to be served! Have your favorite sides with your tasty burger.
