This Salmon Burger with Creamy Lime and Basil Sauce is a delightful twist on the classic burger. The salmon patty is packed with flavor, and the creamy sauce adds a zesty and herby kick. It's a perfect choice for a seafood lover's burger night.
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, skinless and boneless. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped. 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped. 1 egg. 1 tsp Dijon mustard. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish.
Instructions: Put the salmon fillets in a food processor after cutting them up into small pieces. The salmon should be pulsed until it gets rough. Put the cooked salmon in a bowl and add the egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Also add the breadcrumbs and mix them in. Mix the ingredients together well, then use your hands to make four burger patties. Warm up your grill or pan on the stove over medium-high heat and oil it a little. They should be cooked all the way through and have a nice char on the outside after being grilled for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Make the Creamy Lime and Basil Sauce while the burgers are cooking. Blend or process 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, the juice of 2 limes, and a handful of fresh basil leaves to make the sauce. Mix until it's smooth. For about a minute or two, toast the burger buns on the grill until they're just barely brown. Put lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom bun of each burger, then add the salmon patty and a big dollop of the Creamy Lime and Basil Sauce. Spread the other half of the bun on top of the salmon burger. Now it's ready to be eaten!
