Positive, healing energy is appreciated for Juju's recovery! These past 48 hours have been very long and difficult for us as a family. Sometime around 11pm last night, Juju had an accident while Jake and I were not home. I came home shortly after he did around midnight and he told me that Juju was missing fur around his tail. Upon closer inspection, I saw that his tail had been bleeding. We think he may have torn it on the basement door somehow, but we're really not sure. We took him to the animal ER 35 minutes away. After the vets examined him, they found that the last 2 bones in his tail were broken. 2am, Juju gets prepped for a partial amputation of his tail and comes out of surgery at 5am. We finally bring him home around 5:30am where he became very agitated from the anesthesia so much that I got absolutely no sleep. I bring him back to the vet at 8:00am (at this point, I'm on 24 hours of no sleep). My wonderful friend, Fred, who lives close to the hospital offers me a place to rest at 10am while they hold Juju and help him recover. I finally get to take Juju home around 5:30pm today. My sister was also a huge help in watching him while I went grocery shopping and got his antibiotic. In the last 48 hours, I have not had time to emotionally process the fact that my beautiful baby boy has now become an amputee. I hope he makes a fast recovery. He has been through so much! I'm so grateful to my friends and family for helping me out today! #JujuMagic #JubertJushua #bigboy #MoonJuju #mybraveboy #sweetkitty #speedyrecovery #tailamputation #tailamputationsurgery #cw #tw #catsofinstagram #getwellsoon #iloveyousomuch https://www.instagram.com/p/BuP8tDZlrDF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=b13j5p5teoq1
