Hide yo kids! Hide yo wife!
Oakland's Fishstix makes his debut on
Digital 6 with a lethal EP Titled
'Do You Want My Love?', a 4 track release
showcasing his jungle infused footwork or
as he calls it jukecore. The title track
starts off nicely with buttery synths that
slam right into a hectic barrage of
808 drums, rave vocals and ragga fx.
'Feelings' keeps up the pressure with
a perfect blend of chill synthlines flowing
over chopped up jungle breaks and classic
jungle samples that will give you warehouse
flashbacks. On 'Funkin', Fishstix takes the
drum choppage to another level with militant
choppy snares bouncing off the walls while a
jazzy flute keeps your brain at ease. The
final track on this monster EP was a late
addition to this release but we think it
rounds off things nicely with its cut to
death amen tricknology and darkside jungle
synths and fx flipping over heavy 808 kicks
and echoed out rimshots. Jukecore is Fishstix's
own sound and he does it so right we think
you'll definitely see much more of him on Digital 6.
