JZ, how do you keep your scales so bright and lustrous? OwO
"Oh, well... I-I don't do anything particularly special, really. Just the usual, a good wash and scrub with a back brush helps to keep the scales clean, especially in-between." She smiles and fiddles with her hands nervously. You can't help but notice an extra shine to her scales all of a sudden. It must be the angle.
Just to ramble further because not me looking up on reptile skin care lol
So generally speaking, she has healthy scales and keeps up her hygiene. While she would take baths at home, she wouldn't shy away from bathing in a lake. During her time in Cyrodiil, she would bath often in Lake Rumare (despite the slaughterfish, but maybe they learnt their lessons after she slapped them a few times with her tail haha). She used a bristle back brush to scrub her scales, especially the smaller scales so nothing gets stuck in between. But it's not only about having good body hygiene, it helps to have a tidy living space and changing the bed sheets frequently (which took her some time to make a habit though because she can be hedonistic at times).
However, when she woke up as a vampire (after 200 years...), she did wake up with blisters, missing scales and discolorations. So she needed to dedicate more time and care to her scales (note-to-self: wondering if the effects of vampirism can make her scales heal faster or slower if there is a lack of bloodflow). But since she's an expert in the illusion school of magic, she's able to cloak herself in her former mortal appearance when her scales were bright and lustrous, as you are viewing her right now.))
