I was thinking again about Julia and Evi so I made this

Audrey and Julia?

Haven, Audrey learned fast, was a town that made it difficult for a couple of girls to get a drink. 

Despite the small-towniness of it, it wasn’t overt, or even intentional on the part of the locals. It was the troubles, and the troubles--another thing Audrey had learned fast--were Haven. 

And the troubles were homophobic, because Audrey had had to call off this date three times, and she would be damned if it happened a fourth. 

She handed her phone to Duke. “If it rings, you can be Nathan’s partner for the night; I know you’re used to it.” 

He tried to say something but she bolted to her car and rolled up the windows, cranking the radio to drown out whatever excuse, protestation, or quip he had to offer.
