The Servant of God Julia Greeley, a formerly enslaved person who became a prominent member of her parish after being baptized on June 26th 1880, who lovingly served her community despite her arthritis, who took Communion daily and was an avid proponent to devotion to the Sacred Heart, and who passed away on June 7th, may be a particularly good intercessor today, which is simultaneously Juneteenth and the liturgical celebration of Corpus Christi in many parts of the United States, right in the middle of Sacred Heart month.
