New work for Markkit.com
Yesterday, I had the privilege to visit a gorgeous home in Malibu, CA for a photo shoot with PartyLite candles and home accents company. The views were breathtaking. I especially enjoyed watching the sun rise since I arrived at the location nice and early (see last photo, which almost looks too beautiful to be real but I only enhanced the lighting and added no filters). The theme of the photo shoot was tropical, fresh, and summery. I will be featured on cover of the catalog and look forward for that to come out next summer.
As it turned out, the 4-day shoot finished in 3 days and I had a free day to enjoy myself in Mexico City. A temperate Sunday, I had a great time seeing the sights in the neighborhood, Colonia Roma. The street where the hotel is located, Avenida Alvaro Obregón, is a huge main road with a cobblestone walkway in the middle paved with trees and decorated with statues and fountains. I strolled down Orizaba road to find the beautiful Plaza Rio de Janeiro and the replica of Michelangelo’s David in the center. I continued on the road and saw the Sagrada Familia church. Since it was Sunday, there was actually a mass going on and I sat in it for a while. My mom would be proud. After visiting the church, I had lunch and sat outside at Sobrinos. The Serrano ham croquetas were quite tasty. The rest of the afternoon, I browsed a few shops and then enjoyed the giant bazaar at the jardín Pushkin. There were dozens of vendors selling clothes, trinkets, and plenty of food stands. In the evening, I enjoyed an Italian dinner with the C&A crew. I have a newfound appreciation for Mexico City now that have explored a bit more, and hope to return in the future!
I am here in Mexico City working a 4-day shoot for C&A Clothing. There are 4 other models here as you can see in this little glimpse behind then scenes at yesterday’s shoot. The photographer is Beth Studenberg. I had the pleasure of doing my first Miami test shoot with her earlier this year. We are now 2 days into the shoot and everything is going great. The whole crew has been very friendly. Some speak very little English or none at all. Therefore, I have been brushing up on my Spanish to communicate with crew members. What a great opportunity this has been. I look forward to seeing the published photos!
