Really mad about the ending of The Originals again today so here's some things I would've done if that were my show:

- the Hollow emerges half a season earlier. Freya puts it into Lucien, Tristan and Aurora and murders them asap
- Klaus randomly wakes Elijah up one night and says "I just remembered that little knight I carved for Rebekah 1000 years ago was made from white oak". Elijah sighs, puts on a suit, and handles it™
- Hayley and Elijah never get together. The yearning is OFF THE CHARTS for all seasons always and forever. They hook up once every season and it is never mentioned by anyone, except Klaus who keeps making little comments over breakfast
- Kol and Davina elope and leave the family drama behind. They visit for holidays ofc and we get a lot of Thanksgiving drama (the cranberries, the turkey, the LIES).
- Marcel and Rebekah move out of the compound. This does absolutely not help because the other siblings treat it as "also home, but in a different place". Marcel will turn over in the morning to find Klaus in his bed next to Rebekah bc he missed his sister or had a nightmare or Elijah was mean to him. Likewise, Elijah shows up like he owns the place, cooking for Rebekah and Marcel because the children don't take care of themselves enough. What is he doing here? Klaus was being a little bitch. Hope also appears randomly but Marcel and Rebekah actually like that, so it's fine. "Mom and Dad had a fight again" (is she talking about Klaus and Hayley? Klaus and Cami? Hayley and Elijah? No one knows. The lines are getting blurry)
- on that note: Cami and Klaus end up together and they are really happy and nothing bad ever happens
- Klaus, Elijah, Hayley and Cami have a weird coparenting thing going on that somehow works REALLY well. Hayley is the loving mom that cheers Hope up when she has a crappy day, Klaus is the overly protective dad who spoils Hope 24/7 and they do art together and pull pranks (on Uncle Kol), Elijah is the dad that fixes all the problems (helps Hope with math homework) and he gets to smile once per season. Cami is the cool mom. The "don't tell dad" mom. She is who Hope goes to when she fucked up.
- Freya and Keelin get a five season long beach episode. Let the girlies be happy.
- Freya and Keelin return from the beach episodes. Somehow, she resurrected Finn!
- Vincent and Cami have drinks together at least once a week. He is regent of the New Orleans witches
