This pair of earrings by @joseffofhollywood_official – made of gold plate metal in the form of a floral wreath with added faux pearls and rhinestones were likely converted from clipbacks to hooks years later, as Joseff changed and adapted their pieces over the years as needed.   They first appeared on Rita Hayworth as Gilda in the 1946 film of the same name, and were later worn with a different top portion in 1950 by Patricia Medina as Isabelita Sotomayor in 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅.   The earrings were recently auctioned off by @juliens_auctions, where they sold for $6,400.   See more at Bit.ly/Acces222

Throwback Thursday to an unforgettable day at the Beverly Hills location for Julien's Auctions, where I had the incredible opportunity to meet the legendary actor Larry Hagman. 🌟🎥

Larry Hagman, known for his iconic roles as ruthless oil baron J.R. Ewing in Dallas and the charming Major Anthony Nelson in I Dream of Jeannie, was a true talent of the silver screen. At the auction of his personal estate, he surprised fans and potential bidders by arriving on a horse, radiating his unique charisma and love for life.

Spending time with Larry Hagman was a genuine delight. His warm smile and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around him. It was an honor to be in his presence and witness his magnetic energy firsthand.

Republic Pictures’ 1947 film 𝑾𝒚𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 featured this small brooch, encrusted with garnets and set in silverplate, worn by Vera Ralston as Karen Alderson.   The piece was used again by Noreen Nash as Linda in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 in 1948, an ahead-of-its-time film about the evils of dog fighting.   It was created by @joseffofhollywood_official.
