It's easy to look at this panel and wonder if the question being asked is, "if saying 'bacon' somehow justifies needlessly killing other animals, is the reverse also true? And if so or if not, then why?"

Asking clever questions of people's strange assertions seems like a reasonably gentle form of advocacy. Being as sincere and non-confrontational as possible is very helpful!
