Proverbs 30:23

tequila dripping down my neck

peppered with salt.

help me feel something of myself,

you in relation to me.

gulps of harder-to-talk-these-days,

and satiated in the hearth of

letting the words fall out.

hard and clean,

shattered just exactly right.

how we are not supposed to be.

is this vulnerability?

i told you mostly,

i shook well.

you listened,

each little piece,

every little breath of air.

reaching out in the darkness.

when it was too late to recover,

you swam through the sheets.

tired of trying,

waking up alone,

sweaty palms and empty arms,

to hold me home.

the paradox of our story.

i needed to be touched so badly

it hurt.

it haunts the memory,

of you of me.

upon waking:

the tucks came undone

without unraveling the bond,

the pillows lie motionless

abused,

in the floor.

they heard me

slump over quietly in the night,

beside your body,

lying open with unclenched

hands.

offering

the silent sobriety

of wasted efforts.

I didn’t know you moved

and then tenderly found

the saving grace of

two arms

I was an homophobic until you came

Shoutout to my bestfriend who happens to be a bisexual. This one is for you but I know you’ll never ever read this.

Truthfully, I was an homophobic until on my 3rd year college. Reasons? I was bullied by many gays and because of religion.

But you came.

I was an homophobic until you came. I have lost a bestfriend from first year high school until early college years because I thought my belief is most righteous where I realized not all people share the same beliefs as I have but you came.

I was an homophobic until you came. You told me your story. I became one of those people whom you can be true to be with. You told me your history and what made you become what you are now. And thank you for that.

I was an homophobic until you came. I became open minded. Wholly. That includes same-sex relationship. I became considerate on that issue.

I was an homophobic until you came. I began to appreciate gays, bisexuals, transmen/transwomen. I began to appreciate my bestfriend. And I began to appreciate you.

I was an homophobic until you came. I learned the world is very worldly (LOL). I’m serious, beshy. I began to see a lot of fishes swimming to different oceans and a lot of birds flying to different places and a lot of shovels digging different terrains. If you know what I mean *smirks*

I experienced drinking, clubbing, smoking, cussing and many more. Di ko naman gawain yon kaya rest assured hahahaha. I’m still the kindest and best person you’ve met.

Thank you for the protection and pambabara mo. Thank you for the advice you’ve gave me when I had my first heartbreak. Ikaw unang nakaalam na masasaktan lang ako sa kanya but still you let me because I loved him sabi mo nga.
