@mvcreates and @quilloftheclouds are definitely two of my all-time favorite people — not just on tumblr, but possibly out of everyone that I’ve ever talked to. They’re both so positive and kind, and they do an insane amount of the Writeblr community, we’re so truly lucky that they decided to come join us! I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to them lately but I love them both to pieces. (Also both of their writings are so good and it’s not fair that they’re both super talented on top of already being great people)

@abalonetea is someone that I wish everyone knew about and followed! Katie is one of the sweetest people I’ve met here, and she’s so cool! Not only do I love her writing (Groundhog Day and The Business are both fantastic concepts that are made even more amazing with her in-depth lovable characters and prose), her updates on what she’s up to in her real life are so interesting. I love love love her.

9. What’s the first line of your novel?

Avery was supposed to be concentrating. There were only ten minutes left of the lesson, and she had a whole question of the practice paper left to write an answer to, but her thoughts kept sliding of the history theory of the government and onto the practical applications currently being practised by her family: in that they were attempting to storm the government compound in Shadow London today, and she was stuck at school writing essays.

10. What’s a line of dialogue you’re particularly proud of?

“Nothing.” Sorrel turned on Avery. “We’re doing nothing. We don’t bring it up around Anita until she’s ready for it, and we don’t do anything stupid like try and hitchhike to the fens. We leave it to Jaz to sort out because he knows what he’s doing.”

a radfem is basically someone who believes trans women are violent males and they are often a group that aligns themselves with conservatives and nazis to enact (state sanctioned) violence on trans women and their ideas of womanhood are more often than not rooted in racism and antisemitism (meaning, woc and jewish women, cis or trans, often do not fall into their notions of what a woman should look like) etc

i knew tumblr was a literal cesspool but this just . astounds me . thank you for taking the time to explain !! i’ll try to be more careful in the future <3333
