Hey so I am sort of new, or more like re-introducing myself after so long a way I may as well be a new person, to writing side of tumblr. Do you have an recommendations on people or tags that be cool to follow?

while i’m talking about writeblr’s you should follow and recs and the like, here are a few I highly recommend

@dogwrites has some really incredible stories, including Edge Of The Lonely Quiet, which I adore, and is about shifters, and found family, and traveling through the long, cold snowy wastes, and also cults, and the love of mothers

@leafgreen6 is like, one of my absolute favorites, if you like cool character and awesome settings, go check out The Dragon Knight, because there are mermaids and dragons and winged horses, and also I really love Jade

@a-place-of-babble puts out incredible art and story excerpts and does so FREQUENTLY and honestly, it’s been such a treat watching her stories develop and evolve and grow over the last year and a half you’re awesome babble

@caitwritesstuff has one of my absolute characters of all times, guys, Tahlia is pretty much The Best, all caps needed. not only is her main wip really awesome, but Cait also has some neat au’s, like one where Tahlia is a pirate, and a modern day one, and everything she writes is mega impactful

@abalonetea is one of my favourites! She's been so kind and helpful and I absolutely love both The Business and Groundhog Day!

Oh I absolutely agree, @abalonetea is one of the most precious, loveliest and kind people on the platform!!! The Business and Groundhog Day are both also fantastic stories, I adore them so much — especially considering that I’m a huge video game nerd! Her characters are ugh 👌👌👌👌👌👌

@roselinproductions and @cawolters are absolute must-follows in my opinion! Both of them are SO successful at everything they do, whether it be writing, art or just being awesome people in general and are basically everything I want to be in life.

🍟 — Talk about another writeblr’s WIP that everyone should check out!

I admit, I haven’t been keeping up with a lot of WIPs as of late because, you know, school is a monster, but I recently came across @farrradays‘ When the Night Falls and fell in love. The characters, their dynamics, the story world - go check it out, you will not be disappointed!

🥓 — Tell you why everyone would love my WIPs!

I mean, who doesn’t love soft friendships that grow between unsuspecting opposites and loving, healthy relationships between huge nerds who help each other see just how loved they are? 

Or prose that takes your hand and shows you something you hadn’t noticed before? Something that is both familiar and brand new at the same time? A way of looking at something you’ve seen for so long it’s slipped into the background, that now feels brand new?

Or pining? Lots and lots of pining. And softness. And social commentary. And dry humor. And disaster characters who try really hard. And grumpus characters with hearts too big for their chests. And lots and lots of good good feels.

🍔 — Tell you a writeblr that I admire!

@ren-c-leyn!!!! I don’t know how they don’t have a bajillion followers yet because they are so goddamn worthy. Go follow them immediately. I promise you all the best content, caring and careful prose, poetry that tugs at your heart and your imagination in turn, and just a seriously great human being behind it all.

Hi! Love your brilliant blog. I remember finding a link to a book on writing through one of your posts a while back, I think it referenced 'editing' in its title? It was only available as an e-book. Do you happen to know which book I'm talking about? Pretty sure it was written by an editor who shares writing tips here on tumblr. I really want to buy it but can't for the life of me find it. Would really appreciate if you could check and tell me. Thank you!

hey, guys! if you’re looking for a quality blog to check out, consider looking into @a-place-of-babble‘s wips! she has some really good ones! Princess Dagney And The Seahorse King will always hold a place in my heart, but her current focus is on, I believe, The Hierarchy which is, to my understanding, set in the same universe but a different time period!

@scripthistory is on hiatus, but you can check their archive for anything useful/interesting,

@wordsnstuff occasionally drops these awesome masterposts that include period piece resources.

I’ve seen their posts floating around, and I’ve always loved seeing them pop up and I can’t believe I haven’t been following @stories-by-rie yet! Or maybe I have been following them in the past and tumblr decided to unfollow them without my permission? Either way I agree that they’re a wonderful writeblr :)

@tenacious-scripturient is one of the kindest, most talented, and supportive people I’ve ever had the chance of getting to know and everyone should follow them!!! Their writing is amazing and they do music too which is??? it’s unbelievable how cool they are.
