It felt like your heart was melting and your world was falling. The words his mouth uttered ached your chest. Your skin still felt cold.
There you were, curled up in the corner of your flat, you were sat next to the window, staring at the city lights. The rain had stopped. You looked over buildings that you felt were going to start crumbling before your eyes.
He didn’t look back.
He left. And there's nothing you can do about it.
Meanwhile, Zen had heard of the news and came running to your apartment. He was stopped at the lobby by Shane. "She's balling her eyes out, now isn't a good time." Shane informs Zen, followed by Zen thanking him and leaving.
He rushed to his motorcycle, put his helmet on and rode as quickly as he could to Jumin's penthouse. He parked his motorbike infront of the building and ran to the elevator, quickly pressing the floor of Jumin's place. He made his way to the door, hair soaked, jacket dripping, wet shoe marks on the carpet, he knocked. Zen's heavy hands, slammed, knocking on the door.
"Zen? Are you okay?" A female voice echoed in his head. "Are you feeling ill?" The voice, it wasn't calming, it felt like a lie. He turns his head a little to find a female figure standing behind him. "Babe? What's wrong?" He felt a strong tug on his heartstrings. He looks to his side to find a blonde female, slim, big breasts, big butt, pretty face. Zen looks away.
"Zen! Are you ready?" He looks to his other side to find two girls wearing his polos. Really pretty. Models, if I'm not mistaken. An abundance of girls comes and surround Zen, he could feel hands gripping on to his back and arms, he could feel hands tugging on his hair, he felt like everything had broken.
He turns and looks straight ahead, seeing a clear path, he sees you. You and your perfect body, you and your amazing smile, he thought to himself, you the most beautiful person he has ever met. He locks eyes with you, he cracks a relieving smile.
Your stare turns dark and unwelcoming. "Let's play a game?" You ask. "Sure" He says, willingly.
You slide a deck of cards towards him, "Game is simple, higher card wins, 2 is more than 1, King more than Queen, Queen more than Jack, Jack more than 10, 1 more than King. Get it? Play." You say quick and start dropping cards. One after the other, yours was always higher.
The cards disappear. And your back to facing Zen.
He takes a step towards you, and you take a step away.
He looks at you with confusion. His puzzled, tired eyes, start tearing up. "MC?"
He yells, taking another step towards you, you taking one away from him.
"Why can't I get to you?" He says, silently, under his breath.
You turn the opposite direction, taking one glance at him. Then you start running away from him, as he tries to catch up chasing you.
"Even here, I can't catch you, can I?" He shouts to you. "In this dream world, where I know, it's not real. I can win you over?" He wipes his eyes with his sweater.
You stare. "Would you let me at least try?" He asks, holding his hand out for you. You extend your arm, slowly making its way forward.
Footsteps echoed in the darkness, it grew louder and louder until Zen was about to touch your hand.
The suit, the tie, the scent of cat, the thin hair, the jet black hair, the one, the only.
Your hand was greeted by Jumin. Jumin Fucking Han, his gut told him.
Zen drops on his knees. He watched as you and Jumin walked away. The tears rolled down his face, and onto the floor.
Each time a tear dropped on the floor, it made a loud drip sound that echoed throughout the dark unending field of his mind.
Back in the apartment, your heart on the floor, your head in the clouds, you walk up to your bed and drop yourself. You couldn’t think straight. You just lost the man you loved the most. You phone was vibrating with notifications, all about the articles spreading around.
You still love him.
The door opens, Zen is greeted by Jumin’s face. Surprised, Zen clams down. Jumin’s head was facing the floor, his clothes absolutely soaked, his hair looking like he just got out of the shower. His apartment didn’t lighten up the mood either, it felt empty. The lights were all turned off, the sound of the rain was as loud as Yoosung playing LOLOL, the whole aura and feel was just depressing.
Jumin slowly lifts his head up and looks at Zen, he makes a tired, broken smile, and tells Zen, “I didn’t want this to happen.” His voice broken and sounds as if he’s about to cry. “I thought I could win her heart back.” He continues, wiping the tears that he bares off. “I wanted to say sorry, Zen.” He starts crying a river. Zen stood there, not knowing what to do, what to feel. “I wanted to tell her everything I wanted. But now, I can’t. N-now, it’s over and I can’t do anyth-thing to fix it. I broke her.” He sniffs. “You don’t have to beat me up anymore. I can do that myself.” He makes another fake smile, looking at Zen straight in his eyes. His eyes were puffy and red and you could see the tiredness running in his soul.
Jumin closes the door.
Zen walks to the exit.
You lay in bed.
Morning came and you get up, realizing you barely slept. Your heart ached. You felt like you had a hangover. You bring yourself to the bathroom to wash up. While washing your face, you hear a knock on the door. You take your towel, walking to the while you wipe your face.
“Good morning.” Zen greets, taking a look at you, he quickly turns to face the other way, face red.
“Morning. What’s wrong?” You ask.
“MC, you’re in nothing but a bra and shorts.” He laughs.
“Hey! I am wearing underwear too.” You answer back.
“Can you just put a shirt on or something?” He asks.
“Fine. Come in.” You say, then walk to your room to get a shirt. Walk back out to find Zen sat on the sofa.
“Listen.” He says, sounding concern.
