Author's note: let's say that jun-hee never entered the games…
prologue: you are her best friend (they have about 3 years of friendships), she begins to fall in love with you and begins to form a relationship with you
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 From the first moment she found out she was pregnant, Jun-hee tried to handle it on her own… until you started noticing everything: her nausea, her lack of appetite, her tiredness. When you confronted her, she completely broke down in your arms.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She didn't ask you for anything. She never would. But she needed you more than she was willing to admit. And you were there, day after day, never letting go of her hand.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 The first times she felt she saw you through different eyes was when you stroked her back while she was throwing up or bought her fruit she knew she could digest. "How could I not love you when you're doing all this for me?" she thought.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 The first time she hinted at you was unintentional. She said softly,
“If the baby were yours… I wouldn’t be afraid.”
And you took her hand, saying nothing, but not letting go.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Jun-hee isn’t romantic in the classic sense, but she’s starting to make small gestures that only you notice: leaning on your shoulder longer than necessary, looking for you with her eyes when she’s silent, holding your coat on the street.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 It’s hard for her to say “I like you.” A lot. But when she finally confesses it, it’s with a low voice, a shifty gaze, and her heart about to burst out of her chest.
“I think I love you. And not for what you do… but for who you are.”
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Their first kiss was clumsy but full of relief. I was terrified that you wouldn't feel the same, but your response was to hug her, kiss her forehead, and tell her everything was going to be okay.
"You're not alone anymore, Jun-hee."
"𓆩❤︎𓆪 Since then, she sleeps better when you're by her side. Literally. Your heartbeat calms her nightmares."
"𓆩❤︎𓆪 She's very protective of you. Even though she's pregnant and sometimes she can't even handle herself, if someone gives you a dirty look on the street, she's the first to step in front of you and snort."
"𓆩❤︎𓆪 She lets you stroke her bump even before the baby moves. She says things like:
"See? She likes you. She always moves when you're around."
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Although she doesn't consider herself sentimental, she starts writing little notes for you: “Don't forget to eat,” “You're my safe place,” “Thank you for staying.”
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She hates depending on others, but with you, she allows herself to cry. You don't have to say anything, just hold her. That's enough for her.
When you offered to pay off part of her debts one night, she said no. But weeks later, when she learned you'd settled everything without saying a word, she cried.
“Why are you doing this?”
“Because I love you.”
And all she could do was hold you as tightly as the baby would allow.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Before giving birth, she was scared. You were by her side, your lips pressed against her forehead, saying,
“You're not alone, Jun-hee. I'm here. I'm with you.”
"Jun-hee as a bride after giving birth"
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Jun-hee changes when she becomes a mother. She's softer, more vulnerable, but also stronger. She sees you as her home, her peace, her team.
Watching you hold the baby for the first time brings tears to her eyes.
“I didn't know I could love someone so much… until I saw you like this.”
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She asks you to choose the baby's middle name. She says she wants the child to have something of you forever.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Although the nights are hard, the days with you and the baby are the happiest she's ever experienced. You cook, take turns taking care of him, and Jun-hee starts smiling more often.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 The bills, the anxiety, the burden of what her life was like before… it's all easier because she knows she doesn't have to carry it alone.
“Thank you for not giving up on me,” she whispers, as she sleeps on your chest.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Even though she's out of debt, she still works hard. She wants to give you and the baby a decent life. But every now and then, she allows herself to stop, hold you, and remember that she already has the most important thing: her family.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Her kisses are sweeter, slower. She no longer kisses on impulse: she kisses because she wants you to know she chooses you every day.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She sings softly to the baby while you cook. Sometimes she uses your name in her songs. Other times, she just smiles, watching you from the kitchen.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She has a secret album on her phone with only photos of you and the baby. She likes to look at it when she's having a bad day.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 If a friend texts you, she puts on a serious face and says:
—Remind her that you're mine. And the baby's.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 She loves watching movies cuddled up with you and the baby asleep between you. She usually falls asleep halfway through, but wakes up to kiss your cheek.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 Although she's not good at talking about emotions, one day she tells you:
—If you hadn't been here… I don't know what would have become of me.
And you just smile, because you know. Because you chose her too.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 He has a box where he keeps small things: the first ultrasound, a letter you wrote when he said he loved you for the first time, the hospital receipt with your name as a guarantee.
—𓆩❤︎𓆪 His dream now is simple: to raise the baby with you, live in a peaceful place, and love you without fear. He doesn't need anything else.
could you make a part two of “Carry her” where Jun-ho finally makes it to the games while Gi-hun, Player 100, Minsu, Myung-gi, Y/n, Jun-hee, the baby player 336, player 353, player 203 and player 039 are at the final game? And No-Eul comes to help save Jun-hee from sacrificing herself and shooting myung-gi in the leg to stop him from trying to push Y/n? (and ofc this is where Gi-hun is holding the baby while trying think of a way to save Y/n and Jun-hee)
SORRY THIS IS SUCH A LONG REQUEST😭
Carry her – Part 2
Jun-hee x Reader
Summary: As above (almost).
Part 1
A/N: Probably not as good as the first one but oh well it's something :') Deadass writing several different versions of the last game with different outcomes lmao.
♡♡♡
"So, who do you think will be the one to drop dead next?" the long haired VIP asked the others, letting out a laugh before taking a sip from his drink.
"I think it'll be you," a female voice answered behind them. The VIPs turned around, confused why there was a pink guard aiming a gun towards the long haired VIP. The confusion quickly turned into panic.
"Woah! Put that thing down," the man gasped, voice trembling. "I –"
Then, he indeed was the one to drop dead next, falling back on the couch but now with a hole in his head.
The woman got up, ready to flee and save herself, but the guard was faster, shooting a bullet through her brain as well.
When all the VIPs were dead, blood splattered on the couches and the floor, No-eul took the mask off her head and threw it on the floor.
"Got the full experience now," No-eul mumbled and stepped over the woman's corpse.
No-eul looked at the final game play behind the glass, the players currently standing on the second pillar – six of them remaining. The first round had eliminated four players instead of the required one.
No-eul looked at especially the young girl, player 222, who had been pregnant and given birth during one of the games. An older man, player 456, was holding her baby, protecting her, since the girl could barely walk.
Player 222 was one of the few people who No-eul cared about among the players, even though she didn't personally know her and most likely would never either.
☆☆☆
Myung-gi had a tight grip on your neck, squeezing it hard but not enough to choke you – yet, at least. He held you in his arm's length, close to the edge of the pillar. Just two or three steps behind and your foot would face only air.
"Myung-gi, please," Jun-hee begged, trying to stay calm but afraid he'd let go of you and make you drop. She felt her voice trembling as she spoke the words to him. "Please let go of her."
"Yeah? You want to save your little girlfriend here? Walk away and raise our kid together, huh?" Myung-gi rambled, keeping a tight hold on your throat but looking into Jun-hee's eyes. "Yeah, our kid, Jun-hee. That kid is mine. It's my kid too."
"Myung-gi –"
"I've seen how you look at each other," Myung-gi chuckled. "I get it, she's pretty and all. While I'm a piece of shit who's not capable of being a dad. That's what you wanted to hear, Jun-hee? That's what you think, right?"
"Myung-gi, that's not what i think. Can we talk later and figure things out, okay?" Jun-hee insisted, trying to keep him as calm as possible but he was just getting angrier as the seconds passed. He didn't even know why he was so furious. Was it just jealousy? Not wanting to see Jun-hee with someone else?
"We –" Myung-gi started but couldn't get past the first word because suddenly Myung-gi let go of you, a loud scream escaping his mouth. He fell on his knees, holding on his leg which started to bleed. Myung-gi pressed his hand on his leg, painting his palm red.
Everyone noticed the blood and how he had gotten injured, as baffled as others how it had happened out of nowhere. Was that a gunshot? Who the hell had shot him out of nowhere? There was still 4 minutes left of the second round.
But when Myung-gi had let go of you, he gave you a slight push, making you lose your balance and take couple of steps backwards. Your foot didn't meet the ground on the third step. However, you managed to hold your hands on the edge, the rest of your body hanging in the air. You wouldn't be able to stay there very long, there wasn't anything you could properly grab.
"Y/N!" Jun-hee shouted in panic and ran towards you. "Take my hand, i'll help you up."
"No, i'll just pull you down too," you refused and shook your head, tears rising into your eyes. You were going to die but you weren't going to take Jun-hee with you and make her child an orphan.
Oh my god you were really going to fall and fucking die. You had come this far, you could not die right in the end.
Then, your fingers slipped and you lost the hold on the pillar. Jun-hee had a tight grip on your arm but she wouldn't be able to pull you up on her own, she was too small and fragile for that.
"Someone help me!" Jun-hee shouted over her shoulder as she grabbed your arm, squeezing your flesh as hard as she could. She didn't care about whatever you said; she needed to save you. She needed you. She couldn't handle even the thought of losing you.
She had to save you, just like you had saved her.
"Please, please don't let go," Jun-hee pleaded, her body starting to slowly slide down further towards the edge, inch by inch, because of your weight. The rough surface was scratching her pants, but she tried to push herself back as hard as she could, using all the strength she had in her body.
Your hand was becoming sweaty, you couldn't hold on to Jun-hee much longer. You wanted to let go so you wouldn't take Jun-hee with you. She was crying – no, you were both crying.
The moment Myung-gi pushed you over the edge, Gi-hun knew he needed to help you, immediately. But he was holding the baby, trying to figure out what to do. Of course he needed to help you and Jun-hee, she couldn't get you up by herself, but what was he going to do with the baby? If he put her down and left her alone, one of the players could grab and kill her. But he needed to take that risk, otherwise you would be dead.
Gi-hun made it to you and Jun-hee just in time, grabbing your arm and pulling you up with Jun-hee. Just a few more seconds and you would have been dead, bones crushed all the way down there on the floor with the players 353, 203, 039 and, sadly, Min-su.
When you were up on your own two feet again, Jun-hee immediately crashed against you and wrapped her arms tightly around your waist, almost suffocating you. Her body was trembling, tears falling down her cheeks.
"Thank god you're safe," Jun-hee mumbled against your chest, closing her eyes and trying to calm herself down. Shake off the thought of you being dead.
"Are you alright?" Gi-hun asked, his hand on your shoulder and worry bright in his eyes. You managed to just nod, heart racing from that moment. That was the closest you had come to death during these games.
Another gunshot made all of you flinch, separating Jun-hee from you. Now the player 100 had collapsed on the ground, a bullet hole on the middle of his forehead.
Stage 2 – pass.
"Who the hell is firing the gun?" Myung-gi shouted, frantically looking all around the large room for a hidden sniper but wasn't able to spot one. "There wasn't supposed to be guns!"
It was for the players to decide who were to die and who to live, not the guards this time, unless the time would run out and there had still been plenty of time left.
There was no answer, only Myung-gi's loud words hanging in the air. The bridge started to slowly connect the second pillar to the third, letting you to move to the last stage.
Third pillar. You, Jun-hee, Gi-hun and Myung-gi facing each other – nobody else left anymore. Gi-hun was holding the baby, while Jun-hee had grabbed your hand, her fingers squeezing your hand hard; afraid you'd leave her side.
Right after you had pressed the button, turning it from red to green, Myung-gi grabbed the metal pipe to himself, about to push one of you over the edge. He was going to live, no matter what. Jun-hee stepped in front of you, trying to protect you from him – he wouldn't push Jun-hee off, right?
Although, Myung-gi had officially gone insane, so there was no knowing what he was about to do. However, due to the wound on his leg, leaving a blood trail on the ground, he wasn't able to move as quickly as in the beginning. He wasn't as big of a threat anymore to you.
Before the third round had lasted even a minute, another gunshot echoed in the room. This time, Myung-gi collapsed on the ground, another bullet shot into him – now to the head, the shot much more fatal.
Congratulations – you have now passed the game.
All of you just stood there in complete shock what had just happened. That wasn't in the rules. You were supposed to decide the victims when there was still time left. Kill each other.
Although, what mattered the most right now was that you, Jun-hee, the baby and Gi-hun would walk free and alive out of here.
"Is it really over?" Jun-hee asked quietly, feeling like it was all too good to be true.
"I guess so," you mumbled. That was it? There had to be another twist coming up. Where were you supposed to go now?
Jun-hee hesitated for a moment but then walked closer to Myung-gi, kneeling down next to him. She just looked at him, examining his face. Eyes open, staring into nothing. Lips slightly apart from each.
"Goodbye, asshole," Jun-hee whispered and cared enough just to close his eyes.
Then, she returned to you and felt a weight dropping from her shoulders now that Myung-gi was gone. That she'd never have to see him again.
☆☆☆
Jun-hee turned her back to her past, facing now her future – you.
"Jun-ho?" Gi-hun gasped as the four of you reached the boat by the beach. Not a moment too soon.
"Are you the only survivors?" he asked, looking at each of you one by one – his gaze especially glued at the baby Gi-hun was holding. Jun-ho had way too many questions but no time to go through them right now.
"Just us," Gi-hun confirmed.
Jun-ho helped all of you to get up into the boat, especially Jun-hee since she still had trouble with her leg.
"Alright, we should be –" Jun-ho stopped mid-sentence, glancing over Gi-hun's shoulder. His face fell, making everyone turn around to see what he had seen.
A woman dressed up in a pink suit, a rifle in her arms, was standing a few metres behind you. Everyone went into slight panic for a moment. She was clearly one of the guards, though not wearing a black mask anymore.
"Room for one more?" she asked.
It took a few seconds for Jun-ho to answer but he then nodded his head and motioned her to come to them. "Yeah, come on. We don't have much time left."
"What?" Gi-hun asked, needing a good explanation why the hell Jun-ho was willing to take a guard with them without another question. "Why are we taking her with us?"
"I'll explain everything to you later, but she's coming with us," Jun-ho ordered. She had helped Jun-ho earlier, proving that she was on their side, so it would be unfair of him to just leave her to die.
The boat took off, finally leaving the island behind you and heading further towards the sea. Just a few minutes later, you heard a loud explosion coming from the island – the entire place was now completely destroyed.
The place where you had been trapped and fighting for your life for a week, was now turning into ash. The place where you had been only a moment ago was now gone forever.
The idea and thought of it all felt so surreal.
While you sat in the boat, everyone stayed silent for a long time, trying to process everything what had happened alone.
You eyed the guard suspiciously and decided to speak up, to break the thick silence. "Why are you here?"
"I did you a favor, might as well give me a ride back home," she replied, daring to give you a smile.
"Wait, you shot all those other players?" Jun-hee asked, now straightening her back and joining the conversation. "Why?"
"Had to get the game over a little faster." She nodded towards the island which was now in flames.
"But why help us?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows. "You could have just left us there and escape on your own."
She went silent for a moment, and you were dying to know what was going on in her head. This was the first moment when you could speak freely to one of the guards without a danger of getting shot in the head.
"Because i don't think the four of you deserve to die," she replied, and you could tell that it was the only answer you would get from her.
So, some of the guards still had a heart that cared about a human life. Or at least one of them.
"What's your name?" Jun-hee asked.
"No-eul," she replied, realizing how much time had passed since the last time she or someone else had said her name out loud. Here she had been known only as 011. She then glanced at the baby Jun-hee was holding, a warm smile spreading on her face. "She's beautiful. Does she have a name yet?"
"No, i haven't really had the time to think about it yet."
After that, all of you sat in silence for a moment, the games speedrunning inside your heads. How the past week had changed all of you. Not only financially but even more mentally. How many people you had watched die right in front of you – some of them strangers that had become your friends. You felt like you had gone through a long war but it was only one week.
"Y/N," Jun-hee whispered, her baby fully asleep in her arms. "What do you plan to do now?"
"Well, i don't know, really."
"I'd like to have you in my life, if that's okay with you," Jun-hee suggested, careful and nervous with her words how you would react. You had lived together in this small bubble, away from the life you knew. You and Jun-hee lived completely separate lives – would there be room for Jun-hee in the future? "I'm not asking you to become a stepmom for her but maybe, if you'd like, her godmother?"
"Really?" you gasped, excited of the thought. "You mean that?"
"Yeah, i'd like that very much," Jun-hee smiled.
"Well, i'd like that too. Very much," you agreed.
God, how much you wanted to kiss her right now. Was this the right moment? Would she even want to? You still remembered the kiss she had given you after the jump rope, the memory alone summoning butterflies into your stomach.
Jun-hee leaned against your shoulder as the waves moved the boat side to side, making you feel tired as well.
Gi-hun was chatting with Jun-ho about something, while No-eul was leaning her head against the wall, deep in her thoughts. Having looked at Jun-hee with her child, No-eul couldn't help but feel a sting in her heart, missing her own daughter as well. She'd find her some day – she'd have to.
"Y/N," Jun-hee mumbled quietly.
"Yeah?"
"I'm really glad i met you," Jun-hee admitted, now looking into your eyes.
"I'm glad i met you too," you replied and smiled.
"Can i kiss you?" she asked, making your heart skip a beat. You didn't even have to answer with words, she got the permission from the mere look on your face. Smile on both of your faces, Jun-hee softly pressed her lips on yours.
For the rest of the trip on the boat, Jun-hee rested her head on your shoulder and fell asleep. Having a dream about you which she hoped would come true some day.

♡♡♡
You watched Myung-gi talking to Jun-hee but couldn't hear their words. She was sitting down on a bench due to her injured ankle. The conversation didn't seem to go well at all, it was more like an argument – neither of them happy whatever the other was saying.
Eventually, Myung-gi turned around and headed towards the bridge, leaving Jun-hee all alone. The hell? Was he actually going to just abandon the mother of his child like that? You knew Myung-gi was a fucking moron but a part of you thought he still cared about her. Cared about someone else than himself anyway.
You glanced towards the bridge, the players starting to cross it one after another. Some managed to progress quite far along the bridge, while some where swept off their feet by the rope and thrown into their death.
Then, you turned towards Jun-hee and started approaching her. She had fallen into her own thoughts after Myung-gi left her, twiddling her thumbs on her lap. Jun-hee battled with herself what she was going to do – she couldn't possibly manage to pass this game by herself. She was certainly dead already, her leg fucking everything up.
Gi-hun promised to come back to get Jun-hee next, first taking her baby into safety. He was going to help her. He– Oh, who was she kidding? He couldn't get back to her in time, the other players trying to pass the game too blocking his way back. Jun-hee knew Gi-hun wanted her safe, knew that he'd do his best to protect her but he couldn't help her now. Not anymore. Jun-hee trusted that Gi-hun would take great care of her baby, keep her safe.
"What was that all about?" you asked, interrupting Jun-hee's thougths, grounding her back to the reality.
"Nothing," Jun-hee mumbled and shook her head, avoiding eye contact with you for a moment.
"Come on, i'll carry you," you offered, taking a step closer to her. Jun-hee's eyes widened as she looked at you.
"What?" she asked, sure that she had heard you incorrectly. When she realized you were serious, she shook her head and continued, "No, you can't carry me. We'll both fall."
"We'll both die anyway if we stay here," you pointed out and sat next to her, taking her hand in yours and brushed her knuckles with your thumb. "We're a team, aren't we?"
"You have to go through without me," she said and gave you a sad smile, trying to assure you that everything was alright. That it was alright to go and leave her on this side while all the others attempted to cross the bridge.
"Jun-hee," you sighed and put your arm around her shoulder. "I'll take you over there. I'll take you to your baby, alright?"
Jun-hee trusted you, of course she did. You had saved and helped her in almost every game and would offer your help now as well.
She had held your hand while she gave birth, squeezing it so hard it could have crushed your bones but you didn't complain a word. You had pulled her into a room during Mingle. You had helped her stay still during the Red light Green light when the baby kicked her, startling her. You had given a part of your meal to her because "she was eating for two" and "you weren't that hungry anyway".
Now that Jun-hee thought about it a little more – what had she ever done to you? You had helped her in so many more ways than just one, but how had she managed to help you?
Jun-hee hadn't known you for a long time but you had been there for her more than Myung-gi had during the entire time with him. She felt so much more appreciated and seen with you. That's why she couldn't possibly let you get killed because you were dragging her with you in this state.
But Jun-hee looked into your eyes, a glimmer of hope in them that maybe, just maybe, she could hold her daughter at least one more time. Maybe she could live yet another day.
"Please, Jun-hee?" you said, giving a gentle squeeze on her shoulder. "Let's get out of here, you and me."
Eventually Jun-hee gave in and climbed on your back, clinging herself tightly against you with her arms around your shoulders and neck, legs wrapped around your waist.
"Hold on tight," you whispered, making sure you had a firm grip on her too before putting your foot on the bridge. Her hand grabbed your shirt on your chest, keeping the fabric inside her fist right against your heart. You wished Jun-hee wouldn't take too good of a notice how fast your heart was beating right now.
Having looked at the bridge and the rope from afar, it hadn't looked so bad. However, now that you were about to cross the bridge yourself, the reality of it struck much harder. You made a mistake to briefly look down, seeing a few bodies scattered around the flower patterned floor, each lying in their own pool of blood.
Jun-hee squeezed her eyes closed, not daring to look down. No matter how much she did trust you, she was still sure that the two of you wouldn't make it. Well, at least you tried and didn't completely give up.
Jump, thump. Two steps forward.
Jump, thump. Two steps forward.
Everyone else had crossed the bridge by far, which meant that every player who had survived was now staring at you and Jun-hee, giving you even more anxiety than you already were going through. God, how much you hated people staring at you when you were trying to concentrate on doing something.
Especially something which would result to ending your life completely.
Then... there was the gap. Fuck, you hadn't thought of this. The gap looked wider than it probably was. You swallowed, unsure if you could make it or not.
Jump, thump. Jump, thump. Jump, thump.
What's going on, why did you stop? You were doing so well, Jun-hee thought but didn't open her eyes and kept her mouth shut.
Jump, thump. Two steps forward.
There we go.
Jump, thump. Two steps forward.
Jun-hee was waiting for the moment when she wouldn't hear and feel the thump anymore, the bridge steady under your feet. When she'd only feel air brushing her as you'd fall to the field of flowers among the other corpses. But that moment didn't come. Jun-hee still didn't dare to look how far they had progressed and also how much was still left to go. How many jumps over the rope.
Then suddenly, people started to cheer. Jun-hee finally opened her eyes and looked around her, being now surrounded by other players.
You let Jun-hee down just when the timer hit zero, her legs shaking from fear and anxiety. Jun-hee tried to comprehend the situation for a moment, trying to make herself believe that she, too, had passed the game and was still alive.
Jun-hee grabbed your arm and pulled you into a tight hug, burying her face against your chest.
"Thank you," she mumbled against the fabric, warming your chest with her hot breath. "Thank you, Y/N."
After she pulled away from you, she lifted herself on her tiptoes, pressing a quick kiss on the corner of your lip.
"If we'll get out of here alive, i'll repay the favor for you," Jun-hee promised with a smile.
"You'll save my life too some day, huh?" you smirked but felt your cheeks warming up. Jun-hee noticed the slight pink spreading on your cheeks and thought it was cute.
"Well, i would if i could. But i hope we won't end up in another life or death situation," Jun-hee smiled, crossing her fingers.
Gi-hun approached her, handing the baby over back to Jun-hee who took the baby in her arms, wrapped in her own jacket.
"Hi, sweetie," Jun-hee whispered and caressed the baby's cheek with her finger.
You made eye contact with Myung-gi who was standing a little further back but was watching you and Jun-hee, guilt and shame washing through his face. He knew Jun-hee wanted nothing to do with him anymore, that was clear enough.
"Y/N?" Jun-hee said, ripping your attention to herself from Myung-gi. "Would you carry her back to the dorm? You know, um, my leg."
She offered the baby for you to hold. You looked at Jun-hee and her baby for a moment until smiled and nodded.
"Of course," you agreed and carefully took the baby in your arms, wrapped inside the jacket. An even wider smile spread on your face. "Hi, there."
Jun-hee looked at you with her daughter in awe, the sight making her heart flutter. She knew for sure that she'd want to have you in their life.
That was, if both of you survived the final game tomorrow.
hey, love your writing. Could you do a jun hee fic where jung bae (and maybe the other men of the group) are teasing the reader and dae ho/pushing for them to get together cause they think they have chemistry and it makes jun hee jealous. turns out the reader is really into jun hee (and the pair have a fluffy ending) and dae ho is just a super supportive bestie.
can i get a kiss
now playing ~ see you again by tyler the creator ft kali uchis
“So (your name)..Dae-ho, can I be the best man at your wedding when we get out of here,” You both looked at Jung-bae confused.
“What are you talking about,” you said, Dae-ho is cool and all but he isn’t really your type. “Oh come on, us being here is proof that life can be short, and I just assumed you and Dae-ho would became official.”
Official? Like in a relationship? You scoffed going back to your food.
“Yeah umm that’s not gonna happened,” Dae-ho chimes in with you humming in agreement. “But you two work so well together, the brain and the brawn of this whole team and (your name), I can tell you that having a marine husband has its perks..Gi-hun back me up here, tell these two how they act,” Jung-bae slightly nudges Gi-hun, you looked to Gi-hun who was trying to have Jung-bae let it go. “Jung-bae leave these two alone, if they wanted to be a thing it’s on their terms,” You sighed, placing your food down.
You gave Gi-hun a quick thank you. What you didn’t notice is that behind you, Jun-hee was super quiet, side eyeing Dae-ho. She kept her mouth shut, not wanting to let out something that would embarrass her. She was very attracted to you, the way you joked around even in these games. One night, Jun-hee was feeling worried and scared so you hug and cuddled her in bed, that was when she confirmed how she felt about you.
She wanted to know if you feel the same way but seeing how Dae-ho acts with you makes her hesitant. Was she wrong? Were you just very touchy? No that couldn’t be it, you didn’t act that way with Young-Mi or Hyun-ju. Were you messing with her, gaslighting her?
She kept her distance, not wanting to feel hurt, you were very confused, you were try to joke with her or check on her but she would give you a hum and turn away. The third game started, it was the mingle game. You always checked to see if she was close and she was safe. It was the team of 3 round, you and Dae-ho pulled her into a room. Dae-hi quickly shut the door, going to lean on the wall next to you.
“oh shit, that was close, nice thinking (your name),” Dae-ho mumbled, trying to regulate his breathing. You hummed in acknowledgment, your eyes trailing to Jun-Hee. If looks can kill, you and Dae-ho would be bleeding dead on the ground.
“Jun-hee…is everything okay?,” Dae-Ho also looks at her, she scoffed as the alarms go off, she walks to the door opening it. “Are you guys alright,” Dae-ho facing you, you shrugged, biting your lip out of stress. You were a huge over thinker, you went back to everything you did, hoping you haven’t offended her.
He brings you out the room before the next round started, you kept your eyes on Jun-hee as everything went in a circle. The voice yelled out ‘two’, you quickly looked to Jun-hee, but she dragged some dude with her, oh wait, you recognized him ,it was her ex. You felt your heart break, Dae-ho grabbed your head pulling you to a room.
He stood there in silence with you as he shut the down, “She didn’t even look at me, she chose her ex…over me?” Dae-ho placed his hand over your shoulder, slightly rubbing it. You quickly wiped away tears from your face, you restrain yourself, if you make it out alive, you could just cry at home..right.
The game was over, you and Jun-hee were giving each other the silent treatment. The team felt it, they nervously walked, giving each other glances, Gi-hun and Jung-bae were secretly asking Dae-ho about it but all he could do was shrug.
It was an hour until lights out, Dae-ho was trying to cheer you up while you were glaring at Jun-hee’s ex and Jun-hee was glaring at Dae-Ho.
“Jun-hee, how about you and (your name) go to the bathroom before lights out starts,” Gi-hun motions you both, you two reluctantly stand up and headed to the bathrooms.
You were both just there, you kept looking at her, she was trying to avoid you, you were sick of it.
“So what’s the problem,” she looks to you while furrowing her eyebrows, she turns to you. “I don’t know what you mean,” you scoffed, leaning onto the sink and crossed your arms.
“You have been treating me like I ate the last donut, what’s going on? What did I do?” You reached forward, grabbing her hand. She looked down before looking back up to you.
“You keep leading me on, making me feel things, I feel like you know how much I like you and you are making fun of me in a way. I’m human and you keep making a fool out of me,” your jaw almost drops, were you really that oblivious to her feelings?
“Jun-hee…you know I’m like super into you right?” she looks up smiling. “You do?” you nodded, laughing a bit, bringing her closer. “Duh, how could I not, you’re pretty as hell, smart, kind,” you held her face in your hands, dragging your thumb along her cheek.
“Sooo, you don’t like Dae-ho,” you chuckled again, laying your head on her shoulder before looking back up at her. “Dae-ho is a cutie and I definitely would…if I liked men,” her mouth goes agape before laughing with you.
“Well I feel guilty and stupid,” you tucked her hair back, shaking your head. “You aren’t, I didn’t really announce it,” she trails her hands to your waist. “I should still make it up to you for stressing you out and stuff,” she bit her lip and gave you soft doe eyes. You smirked, looking to the door.
“Well being my girlfriend would help,” she smiles, leaning up to kiss you softly, you of course kissed back. You both made out for a good minute before hearing a loud knock. It was the guard alerting you that you were taking too long. You both smile at each other before leaving.
The team notices the smiles you had on your faces.
“Nice to see you two made up, it got awkward quick,” Jung-bae said. You sat down with her and she leans her head on your shoulder, intertwining her hand with yours. “yes and Jung-bae, I ask that you stop trying to make me and Dae-Ho a couple, it’s upsetting my girlfriend,” everyone looked at you two in shock.
Jun-hee smiled and kissed you on the cheek. “Oh wow…did not except that, will do I will leave alone,” Jung-bae says nervous to say anything else.
Dae-ho nudges you, signaling a good job. You smiled, leaning into her more. You don’t know if you gonna survives this but hey at least you are with her.
