please, just love me - hwang junho
love can be a complex thing, you knew that well. but not like this because it shouldn't be this difficult. someone you seemed to have thought you knew everything about had turned into a stranger, nothing above a shell of a man you seemed to have memorized. you thought you knew him inside as well, but lately it hasn't seemed like it. all you knew now was the outside of him. before you could read him so easily, knew everything he was thinking but now, now you can't even notice whenever he's mad. at first, you thought it was you. maybe you just fell out of love with jun-ho, but that couldn't have been it. you loved him dearly, nothing about your feelings towards him had changed. he changed. it was him, not you and you knew that. "junny, we need to talk." you said softly, reaching across the table to grab his hand. he looked down at the gesture for a second before returning the action. "okay, about what?" he asked, kissing your hand. he always was charming, that hadn't changed. "you've been acting... different lately." you wanted to let him down lightly but something inside of you told you to just go for it. "what do you mean?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows. he looked confused, as if he hasn't changed at all and you're the one who's at fault. "well, it's just that you don't seem like my jun-ho anymore, you're different. you only ever pay attention to me if i initiate it first unless you're horny." you ripped it off quickly, hardly raising your voice. he scoffed at this, dropping your hand. "really? is that what you think? you think that i only ever want you for sex?" you knew it wasn't a question, he was just teasing you. "no, i know that. i don't think that you're being different, i know. so don't make it seem like i'm being delusional because you know i'm not." you pointed at him, raising your voice slightly. he shook his head at this, leaning back in the chair. "unbelievable." he scoffed, crossing his arms. "so what? do you want like a divorce or something?" he asked sarcastically. "no," you started "i just wanted you to know how i felt." you were calm and kept it slow, to help him understand more. "okay well, thanks but i don't get it. can't you just love me how i am? i mean, that is why we got married, because we love each other. or is it because of my money?" your jaw almost dropped. did he really just say that you're only with him for the money? "what?" you whispered, hurt laced into your voice. jun-ho knew he fucked up, he knew that by your face the second it left his mouth. it was a touchy subject in your life, you didn't have as much as he did and he knew that. he knew and he still used it against you. this wasn't your jun-ho. "this is exactly my point, jun-ho! you would've never said that a month ago and you know it!" you yelled, standing up from the dinner table. he closed his eyes in hurt, knowing your words are true. he knew he had changed, and he was working on figuring out why. "i'm sorry, i know i've been different lately, i don't know why. i've been trying to figure it out for you, but i just can't. give me some time, please." he words were hardly heard, his head hung low as they spilled from his mouth. you walked over to him, crouching down to his eye level. "i'm sorry, i didn't know that you were dealing with that." you were always so understanding of him, something that he fell in love with instantly. "please, just love me. don't leave." he cried, tears spilling. you were quick to wipe them away, "aw, don't cry. i'm not going anywhere, i promise." and you planned to keep that promise, for as long as he lived.
