Key comissions I've got from @commanders-sole-braincell! Thank you again Erin, I love them all a lot :D
As a side note, we decided that El aims at Pale Tree here. Because what else could he aim at
So a while ago @commander-pleur showed me those horrible skins and I knew what I had to do
What else to say here, Junav has a pair of... Friends now
Junav, wreaking havoc in Sun's Refugee, trying to read and hanging out with griffons
@kianga-eu welp, you asked for this xD
I love those two, that's just kinda another instance of "Karol putting too much effort into extremely minor canon characters"
Junav and Iberu are a weird pair. I'm not even sure how exactly to call their relationship. Friends? Lovers? Friends with benefits? But first thing first, they're rivals.
Junav values mastery and strength above all. He thrives in competition, and back when he was a relatively new addition to Mordant Crescent, Iberu seemed like the only one who could match Junav in combat with his magical skills. The two quickly grew closer, constantly challenging and pushing each other. They also turned out to be an overall great team, with Junav keeping Iberu's ego in check with occasional slap in the face, and Iberu not letting Junav get too violent at times. And, when Junav was killed by Sunspears in an ambush, it was Iberu who vouched for the warrior to be awakened.
His close relationship with Iberu also let him easily recognize that Commander in disguise clearly wasn't his rival-friend-lover, but actually agreed to help with gathering awakened army to fight Balthazar, since he saw rogue god and his Forged as a primary threat, and because Fenrar ever so slightly left out the details of murdering Archon.
And then there's Jahai. Koss still kills Iberu, but instead of preventing the fight at the summit, it actually starts it, with enraged Junav jumping on Koss while Arengar questioned his life choises and wanted to strangle both of them with his own hands, and only the very lucky intervention of Kralkatorrik breaks the two battling awakened apart, before they actually had chance to kill each other.
After that, as I said before, Junav has a very negative attitude towards Koss and constantly tries to start fights with him, due to what Arengar quicky learned to just... Keep the two apart for their own good. And, as Junav says, "if I get him alone, there won't be a dragon to save him anymore". Yeah, he isn't exactly the type of person to let the grudge go easily, even if he got over the loss of his rival and now actively competes with Zaiem and other Sunspears, since he should keep that fear of awakened in them, right?
But Junav's obsession with power and rivalry is a whole another talk.
I posted this on discord, but I'm thinking about Junav again
He and Iberu (that dude who we kill in PoF story and he then appears several times in lws4) were pretty close. Friends, even (as far as such assholes as those two can be friends, anyway). Junav, in fact, was Iberu's subordinate, and in free time, also his personal bodyguard
I kinda made this out of the fact that Junav definitely was among the awakened delegation in Jahai, and he absolutely hates Koss to the point that the two would tear each other apart if left alone, and I needed reason for this
A bit of Junav shenanigans from today @astralarias @commanders-sole-braincell
For context: first is me finding "let's hug Koss" book, second - me using embiggening tonic on Junav
🖊🖊🖊?
Junav knows that he's a bad person. He holds no illusion that he follows the right order, or all the crimes he does are noble and for better, no. He is a brutal murderer and sees himself as one, yet he doesn't care. He genuinely enjoys killing, and been doing it his whole life. He couldn't just quit his bloody job and live in some village even if he wanted to, so why care when you can just keep doing what you're good at and what you enjoy... Even if for Junav it involves murder.
Fenrar's got a very expressive body language: when he's talking, he's always moving. Either it's gesturing with his hands, twitching his ears and nose or swinging his tail, but you always can tell Fenrar's mood by his movements, and that's something Fen himself never notices.
This one's more vague, and I'm probably gonna tackle it a bit more when (if) I'm gonna go in details into Fenrar's backstory, but in a way, Fenrar is Shiro right now. They're still separate individuals, but Shiro ain't just a voice in Fenrar's head or a ghost posessing him. Fen's got his memories and emotions, too. He feels Shiro's anger, pain and frustration like his own, which changes him to be much more bitter and agressive over the time. That, however, also means Shiro has all Fenrar's insecurities and doubts, making himself way more softer than he used to be. They share emotions, pain and, well, body. Listen I still have no idea how revenants work in canon, so uh. My canon now
