Summer Fades Away presents: June Yui
Great first track from the upcoming new album
"June Yui" originates from past storms, shaped eight years ago and reworked this year with a new arrangement and recording. It is also the first single from Summer Fades Away's forthcoming new album.
In a time when peace has not yet arrived, and where traditional knowledge has nowhere to be passed down, the youthful vigor of the past has long turned to dust.

Established in 2008 in Changsha, China, Summer Fades Away is a visionary post-rock quintet that pioneers the fusion of traditional Chinese instrumentation with contemporary post-rock textures. Renowned for crafting emotionally charged auditory journeys, their soundscapes oscillate between meditative melancholy and cathartic intensity, anchored by atmospheric guitars, haunting keyboard motifs, and rhythmic precision. **Members:** Liu Honglin (guitar), Deng Yongpeng (keyboard), Li Jingxin (drums), Tang Shiyuan (bass), Jiang Qing (guitar).
Under the independent label 1724 Records, the band has released two critically acclaimed albums: – *Time Flies and Memory’s Cruel* (2011) – *We Meet the Last Time, Then Departure* (2012)
Their forthcoming album *Endless* (2025), anticipated as a bold evolution of their signature style, is set for release this spring, followed by an intimate domestic tour.
Their compositions reimagine traditional Chinese melodies (e.g., guzheng-inspired guitar phrasing) through post-rock’s expansive architectures, creating a transnational dialogue that resonates from intimate venues to festival stages.
