Stormy Faye The Christian Runaway Traveling For Christ “Too many of us are carrying baggage when we should be carrying luggage.” - Linda Boyce, June 8, 2015 Last night, I was talking to a friend who is a mom/mentor and this mentored to my spirit. The Lord spoke to her about how too many women, especially African-American women towards one another, are carrying baggage in their lives. Baggage that carries over from one area or another, be it personal and/or professional. We discussed how well-accomplished women don’t compliment each other, refuse to smile at another, don’t speak to another, have spiritual blockage to see and hear the positive, but are so quick to see and hear and speak the negative. It’s not about your economic class or your background. It’s not about your Coach bag or your Christian Louboutin’s shoes. It’s about how treat others and yourself. Lift your head up and smile. Let’s travel with a positive mindset. Let’s travel with a God focus. Let’s travel with a forward destination-mindset for the future. Learn from the past. Respect the lessons from the past. Just don’t live in the past. You should be carrying luggage because life is meant to be traveled. You, my dear fellow faithful runners, are a traveler for Christ also. So let’s not carry baggage anymore, but carry a fine set of luggage, as travelers.
