Just learned about this challenge the other day (run by gooberthesquishyartist on instagram!), so I spent today playing catch up! I'm always looking for an excuse to draw bug-inspired designs~ I got a bit lazy with the moth fly because I already had a design for one, so I saved him for last, and then realized I was too tired to do a more detailed sketch.

This was a lot of fun! I'm excited to tackle the rest throughout the month!

Junebug day 11, the Giant Wētā! I chose the subspecies, the Bluff wētā, just cuz I really liked the coloration ^^ They're known for living in crevices on rocky bluffs and being very good at climbing, so I drew this fella doing some rock climbing~
