What if Shino Pulled a Sasuke?

I imagine that if Shino were to defect from the village, it would take place one day after he failed to protect his teammates. Leaving Kurenai's group and eventually leaving his clan feeling quilt and shame.

He might live on the outskirts of the village for a while at first, thinking things over before officially deciding that he wants to leave.

It would be next to impossible to track him down since his bugs cover up his scent. The Inuzuka and Aburame both would have an exceedingly difficult time. He could be completely off the grid.

If the Aburames act like a hive and can share/pass on bugs, Shibi's bugs might have a special connection with Shino's bugs that allow him to be found.

If Shino was found one day and escaped, he'd probably be prepared to replace his type of Kikaichu. Find a new bug to host so that he can't be found so easily again.

He might take odd jobs like pest control to earn some money since he isn't taking missions anymore. He would just command the invasive bugs out of the home/building and relocate them somewhere safe. He might even take on a farming job to use his bugs to help pollinate the plants and crops. He's even considered bee keeping.

I don't see him as being a malicious or dangerous entity when defecting. He would just want to be forgotten and become a grey-man.

He could be constantly traveling as he might attract bugs towards him. That and his clan ecologists would notice the bugs he relocates from pest jobs suddenly popping up in a new area of a forest.

Hinata, Kiba, Kurenai, and his clan would never forget him. His team would hear about a new occurrence of bugs popping up and go to investigate the spot hoping it would lead back to Shino. His father wishes he knew how Shino felt before he left the village so he could try to have convince him to stay.

Torune and Shino Body Image Headcanons

Ever since Torune could remember, he's been covered head to toe in clothing.

Since people can't really see his face or body he wasn't as stressed about what he looks like. But at the other hand of the spectrum he was stressed about what people thought of him because of all the clothes.

He quickly learned that it wasn't very uncommon for ninja to cover up as much as he had to, which helped relieve some worry.

Even if no one could see his body, he kept in good shape. Not just because of his ROOT training (mostly) but also on the off-chance someone did see him with less clothes on he could impress them with his fantastic muscles!

Physically, Torune would be stronger than Shino, but both boys have their fair share of working out. While Torune may be able to bench press a horse, Shino has all the lean muscles giving him more speed. This lean muscle comes in handy when he starts to train in the water to evolve his Kikaichu. Shino is quite a proficient swimmer and even enjoys it.

Shino had a harder time growing up with his body than Torune did. he had always felt weaker than his teammates and it bugged him about what if he wasn't strong enough to protect them.

He trained every day as much as he could with his bugs. He was nervous about training with his teammates at first not wanting to show any weakness, so he practiced taijutsu alone for a little while.

His feelings about not being physically strong enough finally get to him and after a couple days he decides to train with his friends in taijutsu as he could learn better with them.

After a couple years he finally learned and accepts that he's a growing and constantly changing person. If he's not as strong as he wants to be, he can work towards his goal and have a great support system while doing so. He has never been one to give up, especially for his teammates.
