Summary: Scholarship student Remus Lupin is working too many jobs just to get by. But when ultra rich Sirius Black takes an interest in him at a party, are things about to change? Of course they are; now Remus is working too many jobs and, when he has a bit of spare time, shagging a millionaire.

Comments: Awww, that was really cute and sweet. Remus was insanely oblivious, but in an adorable way, and Sirius was very earnest and sincere. Also featuring a brilliant Remus and Lily friendship with lots of banter. A fun, feel-good read.

Summary: Remus has a superpower. Sirius is sure of it. It's one that the quiet, unassuming werewolf isn't even aware of possessing, and it's one that drives Sirius completely up the wall

....or three times Sirius Black was an utter twat and the one time he wasn't.

Comments: Sirius is so oblivious; he manages to miss the meaning behind the searing jealousy he has anytime someone tries to flirt with Remus. There’s confusion and pining and a very exasperated James. But everything comes together eventually, in a perfect ending scene.

Summary: Sirius is minding his own business, Remus just wants to buy a book, and James doesn't even work there.

Comments: I want moreeeeeeee. This was way too cute to be less than 2k. It had me at bookstore!au, but then add a pining Sirius, matchmaking James, and great dialogue? Absolutely sold. Also, all hail escribo for making me love these characters so quickly, even the ones that don’t actually have lines in the fic.

Summary: In which Remus realises to his horror that he is the James Potter in his very own 'James and Lily' scenario. That is: he is a hopeless, lovestruck, pining fool.

Comments: This was insanely adorable and endearing. When Remus finally sees how gone he is for Sirius, he goes to Hogwarts’ resident lovestruck fool for comfort and advice. Instead, there is matchmaking and pining and general cuteness. This made my heart very happy. :)

#junejoyfest - Day 20 🏳️‍🌈 (Genderfluid Sirius, Trans Remus)

Summary: When Remus gets talked into seeing his favourite author--Astronomy Professor S. Black--hold a stargazing lecture, he anticipates a stodgy old man in tweed. He does not expect the ripped jeans and rolling-stones t-shirt wearing, motor-bike riding Sirius Black with his wicked smile and passion for the stars. Remus is sure there's no chance between them, but little does he know, Sirius has a passion for many things in life, one of which being Remus Lupin.

Comments: This one made me feel very warm and content. Remus owns a bookstore that the Potters frequent, often acting as a babysitter for a young, blind, and completely adorable Harry. When Lily sees him reading a book by a certain professor, she suggests Remus tries out the lecture he holds. There’s a slightly embarrassing meet-cute, a Potter family dinner, and a night under the stars. A beautiful fic that you could grab a cup of tea and cuddle up with.

#junejoyfest - Day 19 🏳️‍🌈 (Asexual Sirius, Demisexual Remus)

Author: orphan_account Rating: G Word Count: 4,220 Type: Magic!AU

Summary: When Lily drags Sirius to a Werewolf Rights rally, Sirius isn’t sure what to expect. He certainly doesn’t expect to fall for the head speaker with the adorable dimples and impossible curls. But who could ignore that passion? Certainly not Sirius Black.

Comments: I felt like I could picture the characters so well in this; cute hipster Remus with his curly hair and beanie and Sirius pulling up to the rally on his motorbike and shaking his hair out in the wind. I thought the idea of a proud Remus organizing a werewolf rally was very cool and unique, too. I could have read another 20k of them just being cute together.

#junejoyfest - Day 26

Author: nerakrose Rating: G Word Count: N/A (told through text message screencaps) Type: Magic!AU

Summary: Remus goes to stay with his parents for two weeks. Sirius is distressed.

Comments: A wonderful text message fic where Remus goes back to his parents’ farm and Sirius pines dramatically. I loved the interactions with James, Lily, and Regulus, all the emoji usage, and the different names they used for each other in their phones. Funny, adorable, highly enjoyable read!
