Hey! Help a black girl out for Juneteenth!
I’ve never done this before, but...I don’t know what to do, I’m drowning.
So not even six months ago, my partner and I were living in a basement in his house with his racist family. They were eating our food, verbally abusing me and emotionally and physically abusing him. Some of my family offered us a quick out, and had originally told us we could get back on our feet, relax, and stay with them to save money and our sanity. Well, fast forward to now, and they seem to have gone back on the plan and are now back to emotionally abusing me. We’re back to maybe eating once a day, and hiding out in our room to avoid emotional and verbal abuse. I had a better job that required internet but due to the shakiness of our living situation (and threats of us getting kicked out, with no where else to go) we are now down to one of us working and making a few bucks a day through Postmates. I’ve been selling my clothing and shoes that I can, but I really don’t have a lot. This is barely keeping gas in the tank and a meal in both our stomachs.
We are trying to move to our own place, which will not only allow us both to work, but get us out of our current situation. I know I’m asking a lot, but $5000 would really help us out. It would cover bills, food, transportation and getting us the heck out of this situation and into an apartment. I really do hate asking, but I’m running out of options.
