[Rainbow is snoring quietly when he appears in the jungle. The sudden shift from bed to grass beneath him slowly wakes him up.]

next up is something flying, but I first needed to get the flying base ready.

I don’t like the huge cross shaped flying stands by GW so I made myself one with a lil plastic tube and an acrylic rod (you can buy these pre cut in coincidentally the same height ;D) and some paper clips to basically spring load it so I can just stick it in and take it back out for transport

I wanted to give it a jungle theme so as one of my first attempts at modelling something larger I tried to shape a jungle tree stump around the tube.

this was a three step process, first getting the tube to stick to the base, then fixing the clips to the tube and once that was hardened, shaping the stump around it.

I think it turned out pretty decently and I’m looking forward to airbrushing this and the flyer over the weekend and then starting to work on both
