Ogryn bodyguards in Catachan camo. WIP, but almost finished.
A mortar team of the Catachan, the first of many.
This little team of knights, librarian and aggressors hit London GT on the weekend. Wish them luck!
Work in progress, but almost finished mount of a seraphon knight with some fancy jungle terrain on its base.
Update on the boyz to kommandos conversion project. Still work in progress, but the ghillie is ready and looks better than I expected for a Milliput sculpt.
On the workbench: adventures with Milliput to create ork kommandos. By rule they are regular boyz, so putting on a ghillie suit should be good enough. If all goes well the putty dries thick as plastic and with camo colors and a simple wash this might be a quite realistic result.
And the result. After pre-shading I sprayed three layers of different reds on the terminators. The first on the full surface, the second, somewhat brighter mainly from a top direction avoiding recesses and the third, a very light red with a thin layer from the top-right just as if a light illuminated the model. I certainly need more practice, but the result is promising for my taste, the photo shows the mini under my painting light that does not cast shadows, so all the dark/light effects are from the paintjob only. Really subtle effect comparing to the normal brush/edge highlight technique. Time to mess up everything by painting the details.
My very first airbrush test. This is the so called 'pre shading' phase in which I use a white primer, then paint the shadows black. As the whole surface gets a thin layer of sprayed red, the light/shadow effect should remain visible. I guess...
New generation of terminatorkz by bashing together a normal kit of boyz with third party mechanical bitz to add some variety to my green tide (work in progress with base colors only). Please give it up for our special guest starts: Mr. Oil Barrel Body and Mr. Broken TV-set-head!
The highly sophisticated 'green 88' starting formation.
Ghazghkull leading the charge
A new addition to my plan B army, a Death Company dreadnought of the Blood Angels assembled in a 'stomp a boy' fashion. Very-very work in progress status.
Hilarious miniature design.
You never expect them…you know…THE SPANISH INQUISITION! Bring the soft cushions!
Back to basics. 8th edition is upon us and we will need lotz of dem boyz.
I recently got this fella, a weirdboy, probably from one of the earliest ork ranges of 40K. The design is quite lame comparing to the current version, but I still love this circus style with the clown hat and sunny staff. He will surely look better in color.
The loneliness of the objective holder dreadnought.
A really cool mini I have just finished assembling and priming, an ork nob with a waaagh banner. Looks fun to paint!
