Sometimes, when Seojun puts his head down at his desk, when the class thinks he’s dead to the world, he sometimes, sometimes dives into the little locked garden at the back of his mind. It’s not the greatest place to be, contrary to its dreamy nature. Everything is bathed in some kind of crystal glow, some untruth. It’s a little world where he knows what he wants, and the world, it seems, wants him back.
It’s a little world where he can walk Sujin to school, and maybe in this world he has a bicycle rather than a motorbike, and as they walk he wheels it alongside them. Sujin, here, looks at him warmly, lends a hand to carry his bag for him, and Seojun blushes and stutters, because no one’s offered to do that for him, and his imaginary, made-up world, Sujin is the type of person to care about the smallest burdens he carries.
Sometimes, when Sujin stares at the board in seeming-concentration, when the class thinks she’s intently perusing the lesson, she sometimes, sometimes settles into the coziest corner of her mind. It’s not the greatest place to be, contrary to its dreamy nature. Everything is bathed in some kind of flowery warmth, some untruth. It’s a little world where she has what she wants, and the world, it seems, wants her to have it.
It’s a little world where she’s allowed to ask Seojun if she can carry his bag for him, and Seojun will fumble in his adorable nature, because she’s sure no one’s asked him something like that before, and Sujin wants him to know she’s willing to carry even his smallest burdens. Maybe they walk to school together in this world, where her father doesn’t lecture her in the car every morning. They might holds hands here, her and Seojun, or they might blush and stare at each other and do nothing, just looking, drinking in the picture, until the bell rings.
The bell rings.
Seojun arises from his perceived nap, Sujin immerses herself out of the lesson. They sit one desk apart, but the separation between them resonates of a chasm unexplored.

“what?”
Sujin couldn’t believe what her unnie said when she got up for school.
“School said that you don’t have to wear your uniform today, so just take these,” Jaehwa said, handing her a set of clothes in a seal ziplock.
“That’s sudden,” Sujin commented, taking the bag from her hands. “Because i called them to make it a non-uniform day today” she said, cleaning up on the desk.
“Oh right, you can take a shower at Hong byeonghosa-nim’s apartment above, it’s room 606″ She brushed off the dust on her hand, as she sneezed and sniffled.
Sujin stepped out of the shop, heading to the stairway that led up to the rooms above.
She stood outside of room 606, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves before knocking on the door.
To her surprise, the person answering the door wasn’t Cassano byeomsan-nim or Hong byeonsan-nim.
It was the one and only Han Seojun.
“Jaehwa unnie said i can take a shower here” she said, looking down in slight embarrassment.
Sujin could only stare as he widened the door, unsure.
“Hurry up, go in, don’t waste my time i wanna eat breakfast” Seojun ‘tsked’. Sujin moved in quickly.
The inside of the apartment was nice, or at least it looked better than the interior on the outside. Although the glow in the dark stars above on the ceiling was kind of weird.
“Oh- Sujin-ah” she heard the cheery voice of Hong byeonghosa-nim and turned around to greet her with a lovely smile.
“The shower’s that way, i’ll drive you to school” Sujin nodded, a warm feeling in her heart.
“Kamsamida, byeonghosa-nim” she said, getting out of the car.
“Have a good day at school you two!” Chayoung said enthusiastically rolling the window down and waving goodbye.
“Bwo? Sujin, did you just get out of the same car as Han Seojun?” her friend, Su-ah asked, a sparkle of mischief in her eyes.
“ayyy, what were you two doing huh?” Jugyeong teased, making her skin warm.
“Yah the both of you cleanse your mind, she was helping my mom with her law firm” Seojun stepped in, seeing that Sujin was uncomfortable.
Sujin internally thanked Seojun for interfering before things went south.
“Kang Su, me and Jugyeong are going to have samgyeopsal after school, join us” Su-ah said, as they made their way to class.
Thoughts run through Sujin’s head but one stuck to her the most, appa wouldn’t be happy if i go out again.
“i can’t join you guys, mianhae” she said solemnly, looking down as Su-ah whined.
it’s for the best
Jaehwa stared down, cringing in disgust as the boy slurpped his noodles hungrily.
“Yah, clean up with the wet wipe once you’re done and spray the air freshener too” she said, shuddering at the sight before going back to the painting.
“Why are you always here to make a mess in my studio?” she dipped her brush in paint. “Eomma and Appa’s Law firm is too boring, plus they flirt around too much,” he said, mouth full of ramen.
“don’t talk with food in your mouth” she chidded as he rolled his eyes.
“Noona, how come you don’t have a boyfriend yet?” Seojun asks innocently his eyes says otherwise ofc. Jaehwa choked, not expecting him to ask this question.
“i don’t know either, i’m perfectly fine and happy without one so” she shrugged, washing her brush as the soft melody from the vinyl record oozes into the background.
“what about Hanseo hyung”
“he has a crush on Miri”
“what about Larry”
“No” Jaehwa deadpanned, snapping her head to glare at him.
Speak of the devil, here he is.
“Wah Seojun, is that ramen? I want some” Hanseo rushes to his side, grabbing the younger’s chopsticks.
“Yah the both of you, don’t eat in my studio, i just finished cleaning up” her glare hardens.
“Ne...” they both said sadly like a child getting scolded by their mother.
“bye, i’ll miss you guys” Sujin hugged both her parents as tears ran down her cheeks, sniffing. Her mother patted her on the back dearly, a gentle smile on her lips whilst her father was talking to the chauffeur.
As soon as the gigantic door of their house closes, Sujin lets out a squeal of delight, wiping the fake tears away.
No more unnecessary studying, no more curfew, no more awkward silence dinner, no more tears and screams, no more beatings.
At least for a season or two.
Sujin’s parents are travelling to Urk to help the children there with the ongoing spread of the disease. How nice of them.
if only they knew what they were like.
She lets out a contented sigh as she plops down on the white leather couch that was definitely too big for a family of 3, her lips curves into a cheerful smile.
Should i go to the movies? Or try the beer in the fridge? or- oH!
A brilliant idea pops into her head as she grinned.
Before she even knew it, Sujin found herself standing in front of Geumga Plaza, foot moving on its own.
She strolled in, the building was old, on the verge of collapsing, despite that she could hear loud cheers.
“Yah, you again?” She looks around to see the one and only
Han Seojun.
“I’m bored so i came here” A blank expression was drawn on her face as she crossed her arms.
“Oh? Sujin-ah it’s nice to see you here again” Chayoung smiles at her as she walks closer to them.
“Seojun-ah be nice to her” Seojun pouts as his mother chids at him.
“Come, you must be hungry, my husband and i will finish work soon so join us for dinner,” Sujin nodded, following Chayoung as Seojun sulks from behind.
“He’s such a baby. Nothing compared like when we were at school” she glances back and mutters.
“That’s right, Seojun is a five year old trapped in a 19 year old’s body”
“Yah”
She snickered when she heard him whine.
She notices the shop where she had spent the night at, light shut off, embracing darkness, a ‘closed’ sign at the front.
“Where’s Jaehwa unnie?” She looks around.
“She’s not around, clients have been asking for her since she posted on SNS” Chayoung replied her.
“i’m pretty sure it’s more of her, not her art” Seojun mumbles from behind, making Sujin cringe at the thought.
Chayoung slides open the door of Jipuragi Law firm, calling out.
“Yeobo i’m back, Seojunie brought a friend too”
Vincenzo lets out an acknowledgement, going back to the paperwork.
“Yah, what are you doing here” Seojun asked again, placing his hands on his waist.
“i told you, i’m bored”
Seojun shoots a nasty look at her, “Aren’t you supposed to be studying for CSAT”
“Aren’t you?” Sujin shot back.
Both Chayoung and Vincenzo suppress their smiles.
“Byeonhosa-nim, Seojun got 50% on our mock test by answering everything with thremhmmmmm” Sujin was cut off by Seojun slapping his hand over her mouth.
Vincenzo looks up from the paperwork in his hands, a smile that seemed a little bit over too genuine was plastered on his face
But Seojun has seen this way too many times to know what he’s getting himself into.
aish he’s gonna get a scolding.
“Kids i’m ordering tteokbokki! how spicy do you want it”
“Level 4 spicy byeonhosa-nim”
“Level 1 spicy eomma”
“Oh level 1? i thought you would pick level 3″ Sujin scoffs a laugh as she hears Vincenzo from the kitchen, earning a glare from Seojun.
“Seojun-ah help your mother set the table, pasta would be finished soon”
“Pasta?” Sujin wonders.
“It’s a family tradition to have pasta with tteokbokki,” Seojun told her, getting up from his spot and disappearing into the kitchen.
An unknown smile creeps on her face as she follows him.
The aroma made gulp down the saliva that pooled in her mouth, hungrily eyeing the pasta set on the table.
Chayoung walks back in with a plastic bag with containers of tteokbokki, ushering everyone to sit down.
Sujin twirls the pasta with her fork, savioring a bite, Vincenzo anticipates quietly.
Sujin’s eyes lit up, stars sparkled brightly as she chewed, nodding excitedly.
It was one of the best dishes she ever had in her life. Was this what they meant when they said that she was missing out on life.
“It’s really good” she told Mr Cassano while Seojun ‘tch’ed beside her. Mr Cassano had a simple small smile on his face but it was enough for Sujin to know that he was happy.
Dinner went on with chatters, sparks of different conversations and occasionally whines from Seojun.
For the first time in a long time, Sujin smiled without any thoughts.
Sujin fastens her seat belt as Chayoung drives out of the parking lot, “you’re curious aren’t you”
“Huh?”
“The look on your face when we said that Seojun was our son” she glances at her. “i thought it wasn’t my business to ask about it.” Sujin replies quietly.
“i should tell you about it.” Sujin knows that she decided this long ago. “You’re going to be sticking around for quite a while”
“Seojun was a survivor of a staged car accident, he was the only who made it out of his family” to say that Sujin was beyond shocked was the least. She expected some trauma but not as hurting as this.
“He was just in middle school, poor boy” Chayoung shakes her head at the memory, “Cassano byeonhosa-nim and i took his case, we were able to sue the person obviously but he was still just a boy”
Chayoung sighs as she takes a turn, “i still remembered how he didn’t want to talk to anyone of us and cried a river when i took him home”
And that’s when it hit her, maybe she and Seojun were quite alike after all.
yes ladies and gentlemens hanseo is alive because i refuse to let him die.

“Seojun-ah, send these to the new tenant that just moved in!”
“Ne eomma!” he said, groaning as he got up from his own space, descending down the stairway that connected his parents’ office and the loft above it.
A plate of rice cakes was on the table right in front of his father who was examining some paperwork as usual.
He slides the wooden doors open, heading out to the lower floor where the new tenant recently moved in. Seojun had seen her around before when she had first come to Geumga plaza to find a place for her painting shop.
Seojun quietly knocked on the opaque glass sliding door as he heard a faint ‘come in’ from the inside. “Eommeoni made these for you,” he said.
The lady sitting on a stool in front of the big white canvas turned around, smiling at him. “Tell byeonhosa-nim i said thank you” she said as she pointed towards a small coffee table at the corner of the room. “You can put it there” she got back to the canvas in front of her.
He said a quiet goodbye as he made his way back to Jipuragi law firm, going back to his wonderful time listening to songs.
“Anneonghasayeo Mr Tak, i was wondering if you could dry clean this dress?” she asked as Mr Tak looked up from the magazine he was reading.
Jeong Jaehwa, an artist who graduated from Seoul university of fine arts. Due to her family’s financial issues and her mother disapproving of her career, she was kicked out of home, so this was her only way for now.
“Ne, it’ll be done in 2 days” he said, taking the dress and placing in a bag before putting it on a rack. “Kamsahaeyo” she bowed before leaving the shop, heading back to her own studio.
“Oh- anneonghasayeo Cassano byeonhosa-nim” She greeted him as she walked past. Vincenzo simply gave her a small smile, tilting his head to acknowledge her.
Vincenzo stared back after her, remembering the conversation with his wife.
“Byeonhosa-nim”
Chayoung hummed, acknowledging her husband, staring at the computer screen in front of her. “Someone had just came into contact with me, she said that she wanted to set a painting shop here”
“here? that’s suspicious” she looked up from the computer, taking the file in his hands. “i thought so too, maybe we should use the guillotine file to see if she’s from Babel,” he said, agreeing with his wife.
“what’s her name” “Jeong Jaehwa”
“there’s nothing here about Jaehwa at all” she said. Vincenzo moved closer standing behind her as he leaned to computer.
“weird” Chayoung mumbled, closing the file.
It was extremely late for someone to be walking around during this hour, to be precise it was 3.04am.
But there was Jaehwa, huddled up in a trench coat, walking back after deal.
What did Jaehwa do to be exact? well i certainly cant tell you now for the plot to be nicer.
It had been around a month or two since she moved into Geumga Plaza, she had become accuantainted with everyone there.
She shivered as the icy wind blew against her, ground crunching after each step that she took.
But she spotted something- no more like someone trembling in the cold with just only pajamas on squatting at the bus stop.
Sujin felt her cold fingers go numb slightly, unable to stop herself from shaking in the cold. She winces when she slightly moves her arms, opening the wound by accident.
Sujin never thought that hanging out with her friends would lead her father to do this. They were just having fun at the karaoke when she lost track of her time, causing her to be home later than her curfew by an hour.
So she was scolded, beaten and thrown out for the night as a punishment from her father.
“Hey!”
an older woman ran towards her, probably around her mid twenties' she had guessed.
Jaehwa took her coat off and wrapped it around her, “you’re gonna get a frostbite if you dont cover up, here” Jaehwa gently held the girl’s hand, slowly blowing warm air into her palm to warm her up.
Sujin felt much warmer with the coat and the stranger that was helping her. Jaehwa looks up to examine her face, ensuring that she is okay. “What are you doing outside at this hour, dont you have school tomorrow?” she asked, concerned.
Sujin didnt know what to say, as she was struck dumb.
Jaehwa sighed at the lack of response, “what’s your name?”
“Sujin. Kang Sujin” she responded almost immediately. “Well, Sujin, you shouldn’t be wandering around at this hour, what if you get kidnapped” Jaehwa said, her motherly instinct came out.
“i wasn’t” Sujin looked down before quietly continuing “i was kicked out for the night”
she’s just like me when eomma kicked me too Jaehwa thought, feeling a sense of deja vu. “ah i see” she said, “i know this isnt really in my place, but may i ask if you would like to come with me, it’s not safe for you to stay outside like this”
Sujin slowly nodded, seeing that she was a good person.
“My name is Jaehwa, you can just call me unnie” she gave her warm smile, helping her up.
“So, what school are you from?” She asked, keeping the conversation going. “oh- i’m from Saebeom High unnie” Seojun goes there too, Jaehwa thought, nodding.
And that was how Sujin ended up at Jipuragi Law Firm with a nice cup of hot chocolate in her hands.
“Mianhe byeonghosa-nim for disturbing you at such a late hour, unfortunately my studio doesnt have hot water and my apartment is too far from here” she apologised as Chayoung waved her off.
“So, you’re from Saebeom high-?” “Ne, byeonghosa-nim-” “i sued one of your teachers before there, i’m lawyer Hong Chayoung”
“Kang Sujin” she said as she took a sip from her cup, “nice to meet you”
“If you’re from Saebeom High, then you must know our Seojun right?” Vicenzo asked, leaning on the desk, clearly wanting to go to sleep.
our seojun? she thought, slightly puzzled, before realising. “Oh are you his parents...?” she trailed off, “we’re classmates at school”
“i see, you’re accustomed to him,” he commented, before moving to the stairway that leads up to the loft.
“he usually doesnt sleep here, but since we were working late, he decided here was the best place other than Miss Jeong’s studio” Sujin heard him say before hearing a groan.
“Appa, it’s 3.45am, why did you wake me up?” she heard a familiar voice whine, making her stifle her laugh. “Your friend is downstairs, go greet her” Vincenzo used his head to point down.
A familiar head with messed up hair poked through as Seojun rubbed his eyes.
“What is going on- Sujin?!” Seojun said hoarsely, due to just being woken up. Sujin kept her blank face on as Seojun panicked, running his hand through his hair to keep it neat.
“What are you doing here” he said, eyes droopy as he rubbed them once more. “i was helping Jaehwa unnie,” she said shortly, a passive smile on her face.
Seojun had a sarcastic smile on his face; eyes showing that he didnt believe her.
“Sujin wanted to paint on vinyl, so i was teaching her.” Jaehwa quickly interfered, knowing that Sujin might have wanted to keep her problem private.
“But you said you were out for business”
damn it
She cursed in her head.
“he cancelled on unnie so she met up with me instead” Jaehwa thanked Sujin’s quicked thinking.
Seojun raised an eyebrow but kept quiet anyways.
“Sujin-ah, it’s pretty late now. i don’t think you should be outside right now, i’ll set up the sofa bed in my office” Jaehwa gestured to her to follow her, leaving before he could question anymore.
“Unnie, what about my uniform? And how will i shower in the morning? And what about-”
“Sujin-ah, we can worry about that tomorrow, for now sleep” Jaehwa said softly. Sujin sinks back into the sofa bed, pulling the blanket up.
“What about you unnie? Aren’t you going to sleep?” Sujin asks, seeing her sit down on a chair in front of the desk.
“Don’t worry about me, i have insomnia anyways” she waved her off, curling up into the chair, letting out a deep breath.
“You must be wondering how an art studio have a sofa bed and look like a home instead”
“Huh-”
“i know i would spend a lot of time here, doing what i love instead of being at my apartment, i wanted it to be homey enough to stay since i don’t have one anymore” she said sadly, a wistful smile painted on her lips.
“oh” Sujin didn’t know how to respond to that.
“ah i’m rambling nonsense again, go to sleep Sujin, you only have a few hours before you go to school again”
Despite her words, Sujin couldnt help but think that something was wrong in Jaehwa’s past.

“Unnie!”
Jaehwa had a bright smile on her face when she turned around to see a familiar face that she seemingly saw more often everyday.
“Hi Sujin” she places her hands in her dress pocket somehow that exists. “I haven’t seen you for so long, unnie! I was starting to think that you moved out” Sujin crashes into her with a hug which takes her by surprise, hesitating to hug the girl back.
What am i doing? Sujin realises it wasn’t like her at all, running up to someone and hugging them. It was strange because it felt.....nice.
Jaehwa chortles at the girl, “Sujin-ah i know you missed me but my waist might lose circulation if you keep holding on this tightly.”
“Sorry unnie” she apologises sheepishly.
“Hey uh Sujin” Jaehwa calls out as the younger grabs on to the door handle, halting her. “You should go study at Jipuragi today, it’s too messy for your books”
Jaehwa let out a sigh of relief under her breath as Sujin nodded, heading over to the stairs to the upper floors.
a few hours ago....
“Welco-” Jaehwa halts abruptly when she sees a man she knows far too well not to be able to recognise him.
She flies almost quite literally to him, while he had a shit-eating grin on his face. But instead of hugging him like he expected her to, she shoves him down to the floor.
“What the hell are you doing here you freaking idiot!” She whisper shouted, spinning her head around to check if anyone had seen him.
“Aww are you worried about me?” he still had the grin on his face that she so badly wanted to punch out. “Obviously, if you get caught i will too,” she hisses at him.
“Don’t worry about me, i just need a place to lay low for a while” Jaehwa bored her eyes into him. “And you chose this place? there’s literally two lawyers here you dumbass” she smacks him repeatedly, both of them still on the floor.
“Ow, okay i’m sorry” he winces at each smack.
“Han Daniel, you really get on my nerves” she huffs, smacking him one last time before getting up and going back to her paintings.
Jaehwa walks back into the shop, rolling her eyes at her friend, who was currently playing video games on the floor.
“Didn’t your boss ask you to do some weird tacky hacking” she crosses her arms, sitting on the couch. Daniel preps up his elbows, eyes still glued on the game, “you mean our boss”.
“your boss, i quit already” she corrected him, laying down to watch him play. He glances at her, shoving a chuckle down his throat at how cute she looked.
Their eyes locked, the souls tangling, twirling and trying to see more. Now no one else mattered.
Like lovers, they face each other, centimeters apart, eyes trailing at each other’s lips, moving closer to close the ga-
“Noona!”
Jaehwa jerks up, slapping Daniel along.
Seojun smirked, laced with malice, raising an eyebrow at both of them.
“It’s not what you think!”
They both yell out in unison, snapping their heads at each other, cheeks red. It definitely made the situation worse.
“I didn’t even say anything” Jaehwa curses in her head, he’s never gonna let this go. “So” he leans against the door frame, “who are you?”
“i’m Daniel, Jaehwa’s old friend.” he introduces himself. Jaehwa gives him a side glare, hissing at him, “you idiot he’s the son of the two lawyers”
“Seojun-ah keep this a secret, i’ll give you anything” she begs, Seojun’s smirk widens, eyes sparking. “Deal”
“Yah Sujin are you going to come for our study sessions or are you going to ditch us again?” Su-ah asks as they walk to lunch.
“i’m not ditching you guys” she playfully rolls her eyes, “anyways, i can’t come, i have things to do at the law firm”
“see! you’re ditching us” Su-ah exclaims loudly, earning looks from the students around them. “Come to think of it, you’ve been going to Seojun’s mother’s law firm often” Jugyeong says, she could sense a tease coming.
“byeonghosa-nim asks me to do a lot of things, i have to go there everyday to complete them” lame excuse she knows, but it was enough to brush off the tease.
She spots Seojun walking in the opposite direction, telling Jugyeong and Su-ah to walk to the lunch room first.
“Do we need to buy ingeoppang for your mother?” she asks.
Hong byeonghosa-nim treated her so nicely whenever she went to Jipuragi Law Firm, the least she could do was buy her something in return.
“Wae? Don’t tell me you’re going there again” he exasperates, putting his hands on his hips.
“Of course i am” Sujin copies him, challenging his eyes, neither of them backing down.
In the end, Seojun loses as he blinks and looks down, “Fine, we’ll stop by the cart before we head to Jipuragi, we’ll take my bike though” he walks away.
Sujin smiles brightly, breaking her ice princess façade, before processing what he said.
“Yah Han Seojun!”
“Jae hwa” Daniel pouts, “i’m hungry”
“Check the cupboards, there should be some snacks” she said, not looking up from her painting.
He climbs out from the couch, rummaging through the cupboard to find nothing.
“There’s nothing,” he sulks, letting himself fall back onto the couch. “Use my phone to order food” she replies, eyes still glued to the canvas board.
“You know, you could’ve just let me in your apartment”
“i know”
“then why don’t you”
“And risk my house looking like a disaster? no”
He shuts up at her words, scrolling through her phone.
His eyes strolled through, stopping at an app, Journal of the day.
He clicks on it, glancing at her to see if she’s watching him.
i don’t know if i should be mad or happy. Daniel came to me today. Ever since i left, i didn’t think that he would contact me again, because i left him there like that. I missed him so much. we almost kissed today too. But Seojunie came and interrupted. I know he’s going to ask if he can stay at my house, but i’m gonna keep him with me at the studio so we can spend the time together for those months. i’m really grateful for him in my life. i hope he doesn’t go back soon
- Jeong Jaehwa
His smile widens as he continues to read, swallowing down a chuckle. He quickly types something inside before going to order his food.
why are you so cute Jeong Jaehwa.
“RINGGGG”
the students packed up their things, their chatter drowning out the teacher’s voice, excited to go home.
Sujin swings her backpack on, hearing a whisper that sends shivers down her spine.
“Meet me at the school parking lot”
She nods, heading out.
She steps out of Saebeom High, standing at the staircase entrance, clutching on to her backpack strap.
A familiar roar of a motorcycle engine fills the parking lot. She could feel her heart racing as she stepped down from the steps.
Seojun passes her a helmet, ignoring the whispers of the other students as Sujin carefully gets on his bike.
“Don’t scream, i’m not ready to go to the police station yet” he smirks as he zooms out of the school parking lot. leavin the students confused and shocked.
Sujin could still feel her heart racing as she walked, the bike ride was anything but pleasant.
Seojun laughs when he sees the girl’s face, still terrified from the bike ride.
“What happened to the ice princess Sujin, why so terrified from just a bike ride” he teases, grinning like the Cheshire cat.
“’just a bike ride’? Han Seojun i thought i was going to die!” she cried out, smacking him harshly.
“Okay okay sorry”
The both of them walked into Jipuragi Law FIrm, Sujin gently placed the bag of ingeoppang on the table.
“Byeonghosa-nim these are for you” she says, smiling at her. “Oh! thank you Sujin-ah” Chayoung beams at her, taking a piece and passing the bag to her husband.
Sujin places her bag down and takes out her books. CSAT was coming soon and she couldn’t risk failing not like she was going to.
Seojun took one glance at what she was doing and walked up the loft.
“Aren’t you going to study?” she asks, already working on the questions.
“No, we just got back from school, i’m not doing that,” he groans.
“Suit yourself” she hums.
“Kids, we’re gonna go out for dinner later, there’s food in the fridge okay?”
“Ne eomma!”
“Ne byeonhosa-nim”
It was dark, around 7pm. Seojun went upstairs to the apartment to get the dinner as Sujin insisted that they should eat in Jipuragi instead so they don’t make a big mess.
She stopped her movement when she heard bangs on the door, lights flickering.
“S-seojun, s-stop it’s not funny” she stammers, fingers shaking.
And suddenly it was pitch black, Sujin grips onto her pen tightly, the banging on the door still going. She feels her heartbeat accelerating, throat it finding hard to breathe.
