Between the Skies is fucking amazing.

It's basically a pile of tables with adjectives.

Anyway our new game is a GM-less sci-fi-horror-fantasy game.

The Players

Hawk - A shapeshifter who can shift forms between a beautiful woman and a monstrous reptile. She caught the eye of Junjou Ito, God of Nightmares, who decided she needs to be the protagonist of his new cake-themed horror manga. She has recently ESCAPED from CAKE HELL and Junjou Ito wants her back.

Primo - A monster from the void with long claws that once wept poison out of its inhuman eyes, it became involved with the Brotherhood of Hope, an extreme faction that seeks to use twisted biology and science to experience the full breadth of the multiverse. In the process, riding through the void on its fungal memory thief, Primo found itself transformed into an ordinary creature with long claws. A collector of debts, he now owes debts to the Brotherhood of Hope, an anticapitalist Demon, and Hermes III the newborn God of Space Travel who gave him an egg to travel through space, time, and the planes. An egg accident stranded him for a time in Junjou Ito's CAKE HELL, where he rescued Hawk.

Barb - In the Realm of Shadows, there are rat-things. One of them was Barb, a police negotiator. Through her time, she became a member of the Brotherhood of Hope and attracted the eye of the Swarm of Songs, a soul devouring demon prince. It consumed her, turning her into an insubstantial shadow rat. It gave to her a shipping container full of poisoned pickled tongues, and shunted her to the material plane. The Brotherhood helped her get on board Primo's space egg, where she helped rescue Hawk from CAKE HELL. She still has a worthless shipping container of poisoned tongues.

Mal - An Armadillo. He meditated and entered the planes in his youth where he learned of the coming end of the universe. Seeking more, he hopped a spaceship and explored. He became cursed: All Places he Stood slowly transformed to become a temple. Uncertain what to do, he returned to his homeworld and settled in the mountains, where the temple to the Unknown God built itself around him. People started coming from around to find him, and he found he could channel the power of this unknown God of Endings to heal their sickness at a cost to his own health. A cost he feels compelled to pay. And as he pays it, he feels himself becoming less himself, and more the rebirth of this unknown God.

The Situation

FRESHLY ESCAPED FROM CAKE HELL, Primo, Hawk, and Barb have lost control of Hermes III's Space Egg. It is now careening out of the stratosphere directly towards a strange temple on a mountaintop.

And the wrath of Junjou Ito cannot be far behind.
