The absolutely wonderful @plegdoctor made my absolute day, month and year back in October by leaving me comments on every single chapter of a fic I published almost five years ago, and I was so (good) overwhelmed I've still not managed to reply to her. And a bit that made me cackle was:

juno juno juno!!! while i think about your ask (it’s such a good question i for sure have to give it some thought) i have a question (challenge?) for you in return:
if the cast of uk2 was split across seasons in the other franchises (u.s., philippines, canada, etc), what seasons would each queen fit into the best? it can be seasons that have happened after uk2 aired, too :)
Ok this is also such a great question and it's going behind the cut because I got very carried away oops!!
Joe: I really, really don't want to put him into a season where Ru is judging because I feel like Ru does not get him or his drag. My thought is to put him somewhere where there is someone else Joe-coded so I'd say España S4 because La Bella Vampi (Vampirashian) is definitely someone he seems very similar to, and I think he would like Supreme too. (Alternatively he's going on Dragula s2 with Victoria Elizabeth Black who I always joke is his cousin (same surname lmao)).
Cherry: Cherry would have also been good on an España season I think and I'd go with S1 so she could have that similar spirit in Killer Queen 🥰🥰
Asttina: Asttina does best when she is performing and is also very community-focused and I think she would be amazing on Philippines S1!! I can see her getting along with a lot of the queens and excelling in the lipsyncs against some of the best lipsync performers of all the franchises.
Ginny: I think Ginny would definitely enjoy having a talent show where they could show off what they do best and just be their unpredictable self, and actually I think they would like some more flamboyant runways, so I'd go with Holland 2, the cast are also on the whole much older and more experienced like Ginny is themself and they'd benefit from this too.
Veronica: I would undoubtedly put Veronica into France S2 or 3, I think she would fit in so well with the variety of queens and styles from that seasons, she would love the French rusicals, and I reckon Nicky's presenting style and the sense of family in the French seasons would be very comfortable for her 🥰
Tia: I would absolutely love to have seen Tia on Canada S1. I feel like they would have loved the girl group song, the acting challenge about history infomercials, and they probably would have spent most of the season flirting with Priyanka so 😊😊 or alternatively France S1, so they could again flirt with the cast, but also get the chance to speak French and be emosh with Nicky!!
Sister: Sister is arty and fun and unpredictable, and I think she would be best in a season with not too much drama and with opportunity to show her skills. I would also say España for her too - maybe S1 or even S5!!
Awhora: For me it would definitely be Canada S2, such a strong cast with some of the most memorable looks and design challenges!! I think Icesis and Pythia would be her idols for designs and she would love the brat pack too!!
Ellie: Ellie really excelled in the design challenges and so I would have to put her in a season where there were a lot of those - US S3. I feel like she'd fit into the drama too!!
Tayce: Tayce would make her mark on all seasons tbh and she would also be a great talking head, I want to see her with the cast of S14 I think!! Obviously this season already had one other UK person lol but Tayce also being there, with that cast, would have been amazing.
Bimini: Bimini is obviously very strong in all areas of things the show asks for, and they are one of a kind. As they are so versatile I'm struggling with placing them!! I would however love to see how they would do with the Philippines S3 cast, as the best-rated series ever, with one of the strongest casts, I think they would fit in brilliant there.
Lawrence: I know they had a brief cameo on ep2 but I feel like Lawrence on S17 would have been incredible. They had such a great set of performers but Lawrence would have brought that comedy element to the season that the others would have looked up to. And I think the whole lot of them would have adored them!!

3. favourite line/scene you wrote this year?
I mean although I feel like threebones has been a ship forever lmao I thought I'd written a bit more than I had for them!! No Dawn was very enjoyable to write and I I do have a soft spot in particular for Paige and Bones discussing why they went to space and Paige's thoughts on fate. It was a late addition but one that seemed to happen very easily.
13. favourite writing song/artist/album of this year?
So I actually find it very hard to write with music playing at the same time 🤣🤣 but for inspiration I did listen to a lot of Big Sigh by Marika Hackman and that gave me a lot of vibes for certain fics. Along with a lot of The Cure and FATM but I feel like that's just a given at this point 🤣
14. a fic you didn't expect to write?
I didn't go into uk7 expecting to write threebones but omg Not The Kind was not what I expected to happen when I tried writing them 🤣 but as you know trying to write them seems to mean they run away with the plot. And it turned out much better than I could have expected 😊😊

Oh god okay so we have:
two from S17 which were put on hiatus
one from AS10 which is on hiatus
three from bg3 (two on hiatus)
five prompts I'm working on
and three uk7 wips (fairground fic, ghost fic, and immortals fic)
not counting the others I've kind of fully abandoned
