Could you pretty please do the genshin men × s/o us who whenever we are alone completely POUNCE them! Like pillow fights, tickling them, biting them, wrestling them, like it reminds me of those cats zoomies BAHAHHAHA. I just feel like their reaction would be hilarious😆
PLSPLSPLS do tighnari, cyno, albedo, wanderer and xiao!! And ofc whoever else you'd like!♥️
Bro’s tryna get me off my emo shit i see /lh
Sorry for the delay! Moving was unexpectedly really hard on my mental health lol but we up or wtv. Kept this pretty short but i think it gets the point across.
ZOOMIES with TIGHNARI, CYNO, ALBEDO, WANDERER, and XIAO!
GN! Reader, no pronouns or use of Y/N
I am not up to date on game lore and I heard wanderer was in the new archon quest so my bad if this is lore inaccurate :/
Edit: I lowkey highkey forgot Klee exists ignore albedos part if you’re a Klee diehard
TIGHNARI
I need you to stay with me on this. Hold my hand and hear me out. He loves it so bad and WILL reciprocate. The first couple times it happens he thinks you’re just being silly, because you are, but he warms up to it until one day you jump at him and he just scoops you up in his arms to throw you back down on the bed.
That being said it is an at home affair, nobody will know that the lead forest watcher enjoys “pillow fights” or “play fighting” because he’s a professional gods damn it! If anybody finds out he is very very shy about it with you for a bit, but he will bounce back.
He starts initiating too, he will just… nibble on you if you’re sad or something. He is weAKKKK for your laughter and this is a sure way to get it.
CYNO
Cyno is… “stoic.” It’s a front for work and everyone close to him knows it, it just bleeds into his day-to-day life because of how intense it can be. You expect it to bother him when you randomly decide to tackle him into the sofa, but he never minds.
In due time you can believe he will catch onto your antics as a silly method for seeking his affection, so he will just give you piggyback rides anywhere, usually not your choice tbh. He just kinda, snatches you and brings you with him like a backpack when he has to go someplace for the afternoon.
I do think he would worry too much to return the sillies, especially physical fighting. His job has enough of that and he is DUMB strong. Cyno worries that he would mistakenly hurt you if he tried to play fight back. He will always be more than willing to entertain you doing it though, his smile wide and a nice relaxed laugh leaving his chest.
ALBEDO
He is… befuddled to say the least. He asks Lisa for help. He asks Sucrose for help. Bro he asks RAZOR for help, and that’s where he gets his answer. Albedo learns about your behavior from a feral wolf child which is only slightly disconcerting to him. He studies up though, preparing for next time.
When he gets home and you basically attack him affectionately, he is SO unfathomably awkward. Albedo is awkward in most human-emotiony situations that he can’t understand, and this is a whole new level. He tries to play along but his motions are so stiff and clunky.
In due time trust your homunculus boyfriend gets it together and comes to accept it. He eventually understands how to be silly and play back. Kinda. A little. It’s endearing albeit borderline robotic.
WANDERER
Another faux-human creature we’re dating. Y’all got a type /j. That being said he’s substantially more aware of the human condition only known as zoomies. He HATES that he thinks it's cute. He HATESSSSS that he wants to tickle you back. He LOATHES the fact that he is still human despite it all.
In the quiet of your bedroom, lights off, ready for bed, you play with his arm, bite it, what have you. Wanderer laughs softly. It kinda freaks him out that he like essentially giggled at you but it makes you happy. Over time his “evil tough guy” persona cracks more around you and he actually will wholeheartedly chuckle when you try and rile him up with sillies.
Will he return the favor? Not without an assload of therapy. TBD. He does come around more and that’s probably all you can ask of him.
XIAO
Xiao does not get it. He worries you are ill and asks what's wrong. You said you were playing around, and he doesn’t understand. You show him how the human children play like wild foxes play-fight. He gets concerned because you are notably not a child.
We’re working on it ok. It takes time. He’s been around a long time, new things are weird for him in the grand scheme of things. He likes you very much it is just hard for him to conceptualize violence meaning anything but suffering and death.
He tries to play back, very VERY gingerly poking you with a VERY nervous expression on his face. He tries very hard to not be reactive when you mess with him, as he could never even fathom harming you in any way, but he also has spent centuries on guard in a way he may never fully unravel.
This was adorable,,, i would write a pt2 if we’re interested
Genshin men hc reactions to you saying “I’m sorry if I’m bothering you… I don’t mean it”
GN!Reader, use of “Princess” in Varka’s bc he’s Varka
(caution i lowkey skip lore in game and just read hella fics so this could be way ooc/inaccurate lore)
Xiao, Freminet, Childe, Lyney, and Varka
XIAO
“What are you talking about? Who said you’re bothering me? If you were I’d be somewhere else, most certainly not with you.”
A bit sassy but he’s not lying. Despite being an adeptus (ergo he’s been around forever) he’s not the most patient man. Truly, if you bothered him he wouldn’t stick around.
He’s a crappy liar though, so you’d know if he’s bluffing to make you feel better. Xiao is a really genuine guy, which is really reassuring when you get in your own head.
He would probably take you up to the balcony at Wangshu Inn, where you could stand shoulder to shoulder over the railing, looking out at the scenery. You don’t need to say anything at all, but if you want he’ll listen of course. There’s always room for comfortable silence with Xiao.
After some time you may find your head drooping onto his shoulder, your worries having subsided and bringing your energy with them. If you start to nod off, he’ll be sure to tuck you into his bed in the Inn and play with your hair while he stands guard. He really does want you there with him.
FREMINET
“Nonononononononono! Y-you could never bother me! Don’t say that! If anything I probably should do better to show that I like you around…”
You sit side by side on the shore of the nearest body of water, a safe place you’ve shared for some time now. The rush of the waves always calms you both and it’s become the place you spend the most time together.
Your head finds its way to his lap, where he makes tiny braids out of the strands of your hair just to smooth them back out. He’d take off his gloves to ensure they don’t get tangled in it.
If you’re more talkative he would always listen incredibly intently, taking in every last syllable like it was a challenge. On the other hand if you choose to stay quiet (totally fine by him) he’ll fill the silence by humming the tune to old children’s music or nursery rhymes.
Any time you’re upset, no matter the reason, you can always count on Pers being given to you to hold. After all, he’s always been Freminet’s best protector, and now that Freminet is yours, his duty has been extended to care for you as well.
CHILDE
“I don’t think you could bother me, even if you did mean it. What’s got you so worked up sweetheart? Did I do something wrong or do I need to go and hurt someone else who did?”
Fiercely protective, this one. After you assure him of your safety and his innocence in the situation, he is sure to scoop you into a tight hug. One hand rests on the nape of your neck, the other firmly around your waist.
After the initial nerves wear off, he takes your hand and you walk off to get a treat of your choosing. Dango milk, Fonta, a warm tea, whatever you choose, he pays for you both and you sit at a cafe table to discuss your troubles.
He’s always particularly clingy with you when you’re on edge, so expect your ankles to be intertwined under the table and hands clasped over it. Despite his affinity with hydro, he’s always warm and it brings you a lot of comfort in times of need.
For the foreseeable future, he brings you along on any work travel he can, but never when it’s unsafe. Childe knows he spends a lot of time away for work and that can’t be good for your worries.
LYNEY
“None of that nonsense my dear. I fear it may not even be possible for someone of your loveliness to be bothersome. That being said, how’d this worry come to be and how can we get it to pass?”
Despite always being busy with archons know what, he’d put everything down just to find a private place to talk with zero interruptions.
He’s pretty self aware about the fact that his lines of work make him seem exceptionally untrustworthy so he is always sure to let you advance towards him, not the other way around.
Once opened up, a reassuring hand will find its way to your back while you speak your mind. An overlooked perk of his time in the Fatui is that ‘s become a great listener. That, and he spends a lot of time with his siblings, so he truly knows how to care for someone when needed.
Don’t you worry, if you start to get a bit teary eyed Lyney certainly has a few handkerchiefs hidden in his pockets. He’d dry your cheeks gently, whispering about how nice your eyes are under his breath. Subtlety fears him.
VARKA
“Woah woah woah there princess, where’s all this coming from, huh?”
He’d hold your hand and look really deep in your eyes. You can take as much time as you need to respond though, he’s got plenty of time for his favorite person.
If you start to get nervous he’d take some slow, deep breaths in the hope you'd copy his actions. Varka is not the kind of man to take these things lightly, and he wants to ensure your utmost comfort.
If you’re cool with it this mf definitely has his hand on your thigh, making tiny circles with his thumb to try and soothe you. Never going too high though, he’s a gentleman and now is not the time for such shenanigans. He kinda uses it as a stressball though, he too gets nervous when his love is in distress.
For such a large guy, he manages gentleness well. His coat finds its way to your shoulders, swallowing you whole, but acting like a security blanket and you’re able to fiddle with the buttons while you speak your troubles.
Lmk if I should write a part 2 and if so who you wanna see :P
Requests are welcome in my asks as well !!
Edit: I was lowkey drunk when I wrote this sorry gang
a/n: tipsy writing my blorbos again enjoy and comment reqs or to be added to taglist :P
WRIOTHESLEY
He wastes absolutely no time, he pulls you into him so fast you almost mash teeth. Almost. Your lips meet like the strike of a match and before you know it you’re both all in.
Wriothesley definitely keeps a hand on the small of your back to hold you close, but not so tight you couldn't pull away if you needed air. He is a cautious, desperate lover, and now that he’s got you he’s scared to both hurt you and let you go.
Making out with Wriothesley is simultaneously EXCESSIVELY heated and incredibly gentle. He’s committed to a life of no longer harming anybody innocent, and ever since you entered his life your safety is a high priority of his. But he still is egregiously down bad.
“Was that alright? Because I definitely thought that was way more than alright and I would love to keep doing that as long as you’ll allow me to. Please.”
CHILDE
He tries so hard to hold his confidence steady, but you can still see a glimmer of something between shock, desire, and anxiety cross over his face. More than anything though, he's excited.
As much as the phrase is overused, Childe absolutely kisses like a starved man takes to food. Your mouth is as good as a lifeline in this moment and he wants it BADDDDD. Not quite violent, but his love for combat definitely shows in the way he kisses you.
His hand wraps into your hair tightly, like he’s holding onto solid ground, trying to steady the worry deep in his chest tucked under the overwhelming feelings he has for you. Between thoughts of intense lust, he entertains small fears that this may not truly be reality in some way.
“If you didn’t actually mean that you should fear for your life, as I can’t let a threat to my wellbeing go unnoticed, darling. I’m only kidding, unless you were as well… Kiss me again?” (oh god thats so awk sorry)
ALHAITHAM
A slight blush covers his rapidly warming cheeks, revealing freckles you can’t see under normal conditions. That’s the only tell of his fluster, besides a faint stutter when he speaks.
He goes in gentle, after all Alhaitham will always be a gentleman first and foremost, but it doesn’t stay that way for too long. He tries to hold back but that plan fails within seconds. You can’t even tell where your lips and tongue end and where his begin.
In a stark contrast to his usual silence, he most certainly will be a vocal partner. You can feel it in your face as he hums and groans into the touch, abandoning his usual composure to get lost in your touch.
“You have no idea what you do to me. I can’t keep dancing around this anymore so please, say those words again and I’ll be yours forevermore.”
TIGHNARI
His ears twitch, nearly completely flattening against his head. He’d never say it but he is so caught off guard he’s almost embarrassed he missed the signs. As much as he is a skilled ranger, romance isn’t quite his strongest skill.
He tugs you in by the collar of your shirt, a grin crossing his face before kissing you absolutely senseless. He nips at your lips with his teeth, never painfully, whenever you part briefly to take in air again.
When you finally break away, Tighnari is nearly short of breath from just how much he wanted you. He presses your foreheads together and lets out a small, breathy chuckle as his hands cup your cheeks.
“Forgive my nerves, this was certainly not on my agenda for today. Nevertheless it was so very welcome and you are so beautiful and just… wow.”
asks are always open if you have any requests :)
I’ll happily write more x readers or a c x c with enough prompt to work off of

GN! Reader

Kaeya, Wriothesley, Wanderer, Kinich, and Kazuha
PART 1 PART 2
KAEYA
“Darling, did someone insult you this way or is it your worries acting up again? Come here, no more of that nonsense, it doesn’t suit you in the slightest.”
I have no proof but I have a firm belief Kaeya is a major hugger, even if it’s just him being a tiny bit arrogant about his own strength and his possessive streak showing. As gallant a knight as ever though, he is sure to not mess with your hair or outfit.
You find a quiet corner out by the statue in the square where you can sit together and just talk. Kaeya tends to get really deep really fast, so the conversation gets a darker tone, but that doesn’t make it unpleasant by any means. Just unexpected.
You two talk for what feels like hours. He tells you stories of his childhood, his time in the knights, his relationship with his brother, and whatever else he could possibly think of. Whenever it’s your turn to speak he shows his attentiveness with his whole body, so you truly feel heard.
The day ends with takeout from Good Hunter, a bottle of dandelion wine he stole from Diluc, sharing a blanket on the sofa, and a book for each of you. You enjoy the pleasant silence, calming after such a heavy talk.
WRIOTHESLEY
“Woah there, you take that back right now. No more funny business. Let’s go take a breather, yeah?”
Immediately upon seeing tears in your eyes he (gently and kindly I swear) flings you over his shoulder to hurry back to his office or living quarters, no matter how important his work was in that moment. Your size? Irrelevant. You’re basically a ragdoll compared to him no matter what.
He sits you down on the edge of the bed and kneels at your feet, clutching your hands together over your lap. Your hands are basically swallowed by his as he reassuringly runs his thumbs over your pulse points.
Big feelings guy, Wriothesley. He will happily sit there as long as you need to talk, even asking questions to help understand your thoughts better. His big puppy dog eyes are locked on your face reading every detail, just to make sure you’re okay.
Back at work, he drapes his cloak over your shoulders as you relax on the sofa in his office. A cup of tea finds its way to your hands and before you know it all of your worries have melted away.
WANDERER
“Don’t worry, puppets can’t actually feel annoyance… I’m kidding. I didn’t mean that… fuck… Please look at me.”
He ends up making himself upset too tbh, he’s fragile okay?!?! He wanted to lighten the mood but he ended up just being a dickhead. He’ll make it up to you though, you’re like all he’s got and he won’t let that go away any time soon.
He’s your own personal weighted blanket now (if you still let him after his little joke). It’s soothing to you both, with him curled up on your chest and fiddling with the ends of your hair mindlessly.
Wanderer has never been good with words to put it kindly, so if you choose to talk it’s unlikely he will respond verbally. A lot of nodding, humming, and hand squeezes are in your future.
Despite his mechanical, artificial nature, his presence is somehow still very reassuring. He doesn’t sleep, but he waits until you drift off to get up. Tucking you in, he leaves you to go cook something for dinner and tidy up, just the way you like it. And somehow he still denies he’s a softie for you.
KINICH
“Shut up. With Ajaw around I don’t have the tolerance for any extra annoyances, you’re totally fine. I’m not this nice to just anybody.”
Another wholly traumatized man who knows the exact feeling, but is really REALLY bad at showing you that. You may not be able to tell, but you asking him this breaks his heart.
Quietly, Kinich slides off his glove and laces your fingers together. Not too tight, but he’s firm enough to feel like a grounding presence at your side. Holding hands is always better without the uncomfy leather between you anyways.
Again, never the best with words and always very busy, you elect to take a long walk to his next commission together. He will never let go of your hand as long as he can, and makes sure to take the route with the best views (even if it adds an extra hour of travel time) just to see your smile.
He sneaks off during his work, you don’t even notice it. When he comes back he presents you with a small (slightly crumpled) bouquet of wildflowers from his pockets. He’s totally blushing. He can’t even say anything, he just sticks his hand out towards you and stares at the ground.
KAZUHA
“Oh my treasure, my sun and my stars, you should never need to worry about such a thing. Everything is quite alright. I love and need you more than the waves do the sand. You need not fret anymore, I promise you that much.”
He cups your cheeks in his hands, brushing stray hairs from your eyes and leaving the gentlest kiss between your eyes. Any tears that threaten to fall will be swept away before they get the chance, as crimson eyes rest on yours kindly.
Kazuha is a confident man, and he knows your worries are no fault of his own, so he does his best to calm your racing mind rather than worry about his own play in the matter. You’ve always been transparent with your struggles, as is he with his own, so this is a matter he understands well.
His best tool for mental health is to go somewhere quiet, so that's how you find yourselves atop a nice hill overlooking the sea. Salt air and local herbs seem to always do the trick for him, and after long years travelling alone that’s about all he has to offer in the moment.
You spend the rest of the evening with his head in your lap as he comes up with new poems about how much he loves you. You tie him a flower crown and watch the sun set while sharing a few handfuls of berries. All is calm and easygoing once again.

PART 2: HURT/COMFORT WITH: DILUC, KAEYA, VARKA, VENTI, AND ALBEDO
GN! Reader - weeeeee bit angsty (again) sorry not sorry, see pt 1 for the original prompt/ask. Diluc’s is less whump than I had intended but I am too happy with it to change it.
PART 1
DILUC
A man of many regrets, Diluc is. A life spent in distrust, anger, and hard work behind him, and you in front of him. His heart aches in a familiar way, it’s a feeling he could never forget and will always recognize in others, even if he won’t say it to those he’s merely crossing paths with. But for you, he’s a man grown soft. He worries. A lot.
Sitting at the counter at the bar, silent tears roll down your face. It’s only midday, and the customers are few. Diluc silently closes up shop, collects the tab from the stragglers, locks the door, and when he’s completed these tasks he sits on the stool beside you. No unnecessary drama in front of strangers. He laces a gloved hand into yours atop the counter.
After a few minutes in silence, he squeezes your hand and turns to head behind the bar. He mixes your favorite drink, something he doesn’t keep on the menu so these ingredients stay stocked specially for you. The quiet is comfortable and his gaze over you is warm. You still feel heavy, but significantly calmer now. The beverage finds its way in front of you, and even a small sip brings a small smile alongside it.
Diluc returns to your side of the counter now, a glass of juice in hand for himself, and scoots his stool even closer to yours. Your thighs brush under the tabletop now, and you two drink in a comforting silence for a while. A hand runs up and down your thigh. Your head meets his shoulder and a big sigh leaves your chest. He understands the feeling all too well. A similar sigh leaves his own lips each evening as he slumps against you before you both doze off in bed.
“We can talk whenever you’re ready, beloved. Take your time. The people of Mondstadt could use to cut their alcohol consumption for one night anyways. Let’s take the walk back to the winery, yeah? We can take the path through Springvale to gather some fresh calla lilies for the kitchen window if you’d like. Whatever you need, dearest, I am at your will.”
KAEYA
Inverse of Diluc (for many reasons), Kaeya knows guilt, betrayal, abandonment, and grief like no others. His walls are always raised, hidden behind a mask of faux confidence and his high rank. Across from you though, he knows he can be fragile in a way you need to see now, deep in the struggles of your own.
When you appear at his office door at the Knights’ Headquarters, he’s quick to usher Rosaria from his office, pull you inside, and lock the door tight behind you both. He knows the look in your eyes all too well, a mixture of panic, hollowness, and embarrassment. A hand rests on your waist calmly, waiting for you to make the next move.
When you ultimately don’t move at all, he turns to place both hands along your waist and look into your face closer. Slowly, his hands move up your torso until meeting your elbows at your side, then trailing down your forearms to hold at your wrists. His hands are cold, but it’s not unpleasant, more grounding than anything. You’re eventually tugged against his chest into the biggest hug he can offer.
Standing hugging turns to swaying. Swaying turns to a small step. That small step eventually leads to a box step, and a full on dance in due time. Kaeya leads (duh) and in time you’re dancing in a silent office like you were at a roaring knight’s gala. Your head leans against his chest and steadies you, mentally and physically.
“I cannot repair all of the sorrows you hold, but what I can offer you is a dance if you wish. I know you are hurting, love. Please don’t shy away from me.”
VARKA
A gentleman with a heart of gold. Truly. His upbeat, puppydog exterior shields something much deeper, calmer, and a glimmer of a darker past he won’t quite talk about just yet. Varka is always the man in charge, the calm, cool, and collected one, and while you break down in his arms is far from the exception to this rule.
For once, he keeps quiet. He gathers you up tight, your shaking body flush against his chest, and he carries you to a quieter place to ease at least that much. Once at his office, you settle into a soft armchair on his lap where you can finally bury your face into his shoulder and break, a cry escaping and muffling in his collar.
Varka’s hands rub warmly into your back, pulling you even closer and ensuring your utmost security. When your breathing gets out of control he shakes your shoulder softly until you break away from his collarbone to meet his eyes. A kiss is planted on the center of your forehead before he tucks you back against him.
You’ve managed to catch the Grand Master off guard, and after years of combat and expeditions, your pain is still his greatest fear. If you see his eyes are a bit glassy, you don’t mention it, but you feel the impact you have on the ever noble man who clearly loves you so.
“Oh darlin’ it’s alright, just let it out. You don’t have to say nothing, but you do have to use those lips of yours to take a breath. You can’t go scaring me like that anymore. We’ve got it, we can fix it. Together. There’s nothing you have to do alone anymore sweetheart. Just breathe for me, please?”
VENTI
As the archon of the nation of freedom, he often struggles to understand daily troubles and inconveniences. Venti just goes wherever the wind takes him. That aside, he understands the heavy woes better than many, as he was not always a god this way.
He does not push you to speak, instead leading you to the top of Starsnatch Cliff where you take a seat beneath a tree. He begins weaving cecilia blossoms into a braid in your hair, humming softly behind you as you begin to lower your guard. Things are safest here and it’s finally okay to reveal your inner feelings.
Your shoulders begin to shake in front of him, and he moves his hands from your hair to slowly rub circles into your back instead, encouraging you to part with your pent up sorrows. Leave it all to the wind.
In time, your sobs subside but Venti’s hands never leave you. His arms snake around your front to hug you from behind. A kiss is pressed to the back of your ear and you giggle at the sensation. With a quick tug you’re yanked onto your back on top of his body. An unexpected laugh escapes you as you end up rolling to get your bearings. Now you lie face to face in the grass, cheeks rosy, and the tears dried.
“My windblume, you don’t need to let your troubles fester. Please, for my sake, share them with something, or someone. Even just whisper it into some dandelion seeds as they scatter. I hate to see you suffer this way. It’s okay to be scared, flower, I guarantee it.”
ALBEDO
Albedo is skilled in facts and logic, and his emotions are not the same as yours. He is a man fabricated from our world, not quite built for it. That does imbue him with a level of strife across his history, but to understand what you are feeling and needing, you must spell it out simply.
He asks SO many questions. What you’re feeling, what you’re thinking, how long this has been bothering you, and more. His dominant hand is scribbling quick notes, and the other rests atop your knee as you sit on a countertop in his laboratory. You are his favorite specimen, and this is where you always perch while he works, and sitting here now brings a great comfort.
Eventually you grow tired of this, and ask him if you could just be quiet for a while, and so he pulls up a stool to the work bench. His hand never leaves your leg, now making soft kneads into the flesh. He can’t sit still if he’s not going to talk.
He stands, but only briefly leaving the room. Albedo returns with a blanket, now draped over your shoulders, and two mugs of tea. He’s a practical man, with practical problem solving. A kiss is planted on your knee before his hand returns to its idle motion.
“...I know we agreed on quiet time, and that is okay, but I wanted to tell you that I care for you very deeply. I wish I understood better, but I need the time to do so. Just tell me what I can do, and I will learn anything to accomplish that.”

REUNITING with FREMINET, LYNEY, CHILDE, and WANDERER
GN! Reader, read [this] to get context
FREMINET
The seashells left outside your home were a constant, even after you’d moved. For years now you’d find small, pearlescent shells left in inconspicuous locations. It made you sad, yes, but you had come to treasure the jar you had begun to fill with them. One day, your usual shell was larger than average. When you picked it up, a carefully folded note fluttered out from inside, into your hand.
All it said was I can explain now, with a location, date, and time underneath it. No signature. You didn't need it to know it came from Freminet. It was a beach you two frequented often back in the day. Back when things were normal and you were truly partners. The day of, you packed a small bag and made the walk over.
When you arrived you found Freminet sitting on a rock, your usual spot, fiddling with Pers in his lap. You sat beside him, mumbling a quick greeting under your breath. You both have always been on the shier end of things and this was a really difficult conversation. Nevertheless, you sat shoulder to shoulder, like nothing had changed, and it calmed both of your heartbeats slightly.
Slowly he unraveled, beginning to catch up with you, then saying where he’s been, then why he left (this is where the tears start), then how much he missed you, and now he was sobbing into your shoulder, fistfuls of your sweater, begging for you to forgive him. You were crying now too, shushing him and rubbing his back. You assured him that you understood he had his reasons, even when he could not be up front. He had always been soft, especially for you, and this whole crapshoot had torn him to pieces from the inside out for years. He missed you, maybe more than you did him.
That’s when he told you that the bounty had finally expired. It wasn’t perfect. You’d both need to be exceptionally careful, but the surveillance around his loved ones was severely lessened and it was finally time to talk. So you did. You chatted about everything until late in the night. Planning your future, albeit hesitantly, until you started to drift off against him and he took your hand to guide you back home.
Freminet returned you back to your bed, and as he turned to leave you quietly asked if he could stay. He nodded, uncertain but hopeful, slid off his boots, and climbed into the sheets beside you. You drifted off easily, feeling lighter than you had in quite a long time, and Freminet followed behind not long after.
LYNEY
An invite is in your mailbox one afternoon. You’d left the city center long ago to pursue a life in the countryside of Fontaine. The bustle of the city life was something you’d enjoyed, but you needed a break from the constant reminders of what once was. The invite was from him. His next magic show. In a curly script on the back you knew all too well it was signed. I saved you the best seat in the house. Love, Lyney
You arrive at the show twenty minutes early. Your outfit feels too tight, your shoes are uncomfortable, your hair won’t sit quite right, everything was screaming at you to just turn around and go home. That was until you saw him, he was hurrying around the lobby of the palais, bringing in the last of his props. When he saw you he stopped in his tracks, and you could see the tension melt from his shoulders. You felt the same way. Like this was right where you needed to be.
At the counter the attendant winked when giving you your seat number, which could mean nothing. It was in the front row, right in the center. It really was the best seat in the house, just like he’d said. As the crowd filled in, some patrons gave you knowing glances, and it began to feel like you were missing something, but you couldn’t figure out what.
When the show began it was just how you had remembered. That was, until the end. For the finale he said he was going to select a volunteer from the audience. Everybody around you was eager, raising hands and whispering excitedly if Lyney so much as looked their way. After all of the fuss, he selected you, his hand extended to pull you onto the stage.
The trick was splendid, and Lynette even gave you a smile from across the stage. He ended up revealing a large bouquet of rainbow roses from his hat, presenting them to you as he wrapped his arm around your side for a final bow. He squeezed you close, dismissed you to your seat, and pressed a kiss to your cheek. Stuck inside your bouquet was a note detailing your next reunion.
On the aquabus ride back toward the countryside, you played with the card in your fingertips, wondering how so much could have changed. It filled you with hope, a stark contrast to the dread you’d felt leaving for the evening’s events. The flowers looked great on the dining room table as a centerpiece, where he’d promised to see you next for dinner.
CHILDE
One morning on your usual Sunday grocery run, you look up from the box of berries you were inspecting to see a familiar face down the walkway. Your mind had been playing tricks on you for a while now, seeing him in places he would never have been, so you paid no mind at first. But the mirage did not fade. You steeled yourself with a deep breath, looked up, made eye contact, and he smiled, giving you a sheepish wave.
Suddenly you were full of nerves, seeing someone like this after so long, after so much sorrow and rage and despair, it was jarring. You placed down the container and waved back. He started towards you, slowly. You adjust your bag over your shoulder and wipe your hands on your clothes. It felt good, seeing Childe again, but it was also anxiety inducing. It had been years since things went haywire, since he’d left in a huff, leaving you to pick up the pieces alone again.
“Need a hand with your bags, sweetheart?” It was shy on his lips, but almost like no time had passed at all. You murmured something vaguely agreeing and he slid it off your shoulder like it hadn’t been years since you last touched. The contact seared against your skin like a burn. “We’ll take these ones, thanks,” he says to the shopkeep as he takes the carton of berries you’d been eyeing.
After you finish your route of the market, he links his arm with yours, and heads in the direction of where you once lived together, where you now reside alone. When you reach a bit of solitude, you stop, pressing him on where he could’ve run off to and what he was doing here now. Childe sighed, placing the bags on the sidewalk, and clasping your hands in his instead. That’s when the confession began.
His words ran fast, desperate. He needed you to understand that he didn’t ever want to hurt you, that he beat himself up for the years he was absent, and how badly he wanted you to accept him into your life again. He knew that he couldn’t fix it all, but the best he could do was grovel like this on a street corner, practically weeping until you took him back or shrugged him off. After everything you knew just how hard the Fatui pushed him.
Your only response was to grab the bags, sling them over your shoulder once more, take his hand, and say “come on, let’s go home, yeah?” It wasn’t an immediate fix, but it was a start.
WANDERER
It starts with a paper crane. It was left on your windowsill from the outside, just above your sink, so you noticed it grabbing a glass of water when you woke up. You opened the window, and brought it in, leaving it on the inside of the same sill. The next week there was another. Another four days later. Then two. Then every day. For a week. It had been years since you’d seen a crane like this, only one person you knew folded them slightly off kilter like that. You recognized it immediately, but it felt too good to be true.
The next one had something written on the outside. Unfold them idiot. And so you start with the first one. Inside is a fine pencil script, a letter, incomplete. You hastily begin to unfold them all, sequencing the letter from your former lover, reading the familiar handwriting through streams of tears. He confessed everything; he said he had to leave to keep you safe, he’d thought of you every day since, he had never wanted to do any of this, he thought that if he was mean it would hurt less, and at the end of the last one it was signed with the special nickname only you have for him.
This had honestly floored you. You never had expected to hear from him again, as when things ended it was so abrupt. So sharp. So painful. But you’d had it wrong all along and now that it was safe for you to meet again you were haphazardly changing into a more suitable outfit and sprinting down the city streets to Nahida's office. You needed to know where Wanderer was. You bust into her office, get the address, and take off running once more.
Upon entering the Bazaar, you stop to scan the room. Eyes searching, taking in every stall, every platform, every body, until something wraps around your waist from behind and a chin is planted on your shoulder. “Gotcha. Did you miss me?” You did. A lot.
You whip around in his arms and crush him into a hug so tight it would bother him a lot more if he weren’t a doll. Your nose is buried into his neck and before you know it the tears are back in full force. Wanderer usually thought humans crying was pitiful, but now he was just wounded, seeing how badly he’d harmed you in an effort to keep you alive.
“I know. I’m sorry it had to be that way. I wish I could ever make it up to you. I’m not going anywhere again,” he cooed into your ear as your cries eased. Any stranger who looked at you funny earned a death glare, but his eyes softened when he looked back towards you.
A/N: my bad if paper cranes don’t have a definitive inside/outside, i don’t deal in 3D arts. Also if anybody got the joke i snuck in here i applaud you. Can you tell I recently got like kinda broken up w lol
Simon is the clingiest mf of all time with Grace. I know that man is just constantly holding, touching, grabbing, leaning, STARING, etc etc. He wants that scientist BADDDD. Grace indulges obviously he’s just so glad to see someone and to know Simon’s okay and alive. They both definitely have a habit of grabbing at pulse points just to check. Just in case. Waking up is the worst though, because if the other is gone it’s a mini panic for a moment until they see or even just hear the other. The most tactile relationship literally ever. Real panic attacks are where it gets harder. Trying to balance the need for grounding with the overwhelming crushing feelings of doom gets a bit hard. But Simon and Grace manage. For Simon that looks like Grace holding his face and just whispering nice things. Making sure Simon doesn’t look away and drift into thinking it’s coming from phantom speakers again. Making sure he knows it’s Grace speaking, not the voices. For Grace though, Simon does struggle to ease his mind because he has never known a single kindness until Grace. He just stays. They sit, they talk, Grace gets to use Simon as a sounding board for all the false logics he’s worked himself into until things feel real again. Or he has to go get Rocky, who’s gotten more used to human emotion than the other human in the room. They do their best though. Together. Always.
NOT FORGIVING FREMINET, LYNEY, CHILDE, and WANDERER
For context see here and here, alternate ending requested by @lovergirl180 where we do NOT forgive them and I think that’s hilarious. I am a sucker so I still ended it kinda soft but they all get an earful.
GN! Reader, no use of Y/N or pronouns, yes I reused part 2 text, I can plagiarize myself I got permission, implied reader is the traveler in Wanderer’s part
FREMINET
All the note said was I can explain now, with a location, date, and time underneath it. No signature. You didn't need it to know it came from Freminet. It was a beach you two frequented often back in the day. Back when things were normal and you were truly partners. Before he had abandoned you.
You went to the beach. You considered not showing, but it felt like Freminet at least deserved the closure, a kindness he never granted you. After all, you loved him more than ever fathomed before, and you could not bear to commit such unkindness to someone you hold so dear, even after all of your strife.
Admittedly, you were mean. Freminet sat on a rock while you paced angrily, spouting off an earful of curses, complaints, insults, and tears. It wouldn’t have mattered if you let him get a word in, he had nothing to say to defend himself and you both knew it. By the time the stream of words ceased you were exhausted, tear tracks stained your face and your chest was heaving.
He patted the space beside him, so you sat, too far gone to resist such familiar comfort. “I just don’t know what to do,” you both said at the same time. So you did nothing but sit and stare at the waves until the sun was long gone and every other beachgoer was home in bed. Neither of you said anything else until he abruptly rose, offering a hand. “Let me walk you home at least. It’s a start.”
LYNEY
An invite is in your mailbox one afternoon. You’d left the city center long ago to pursue a life in the countryside of Fontaine. The bustle of the city life was something you’d enjoyed, but you needed a break from the constant reminders of what once was. The invite was from him. His next magic show. In a curly script on the back you knew all too well it was signed “I saved you the best seat in the house. Love, Lyney”.
Fortunately, he’d left a return address. You wrote back; “Please leave me alone, you made your feelings clear. You cannot fix this. It’s over.” You sealed it, stamped it, and dropped it off immediately. There was not a chance in hell that you went to his show and pretended to be some devoted partner to him as you did all that time ago. It’s not the same. That was that.
The next day there was a knock at the door. Lyney barely looked like himself. His hat was long discarded, waistcoat nowhere to be found, and his shoes were covered in mud from the trek out to your cottage. This was the part where he’d beg, plead, explain countless times that it was not his choice. That he never stopped loving you.
You did not speak until you were satisfied with the magician’s groveling. It could not erase what has been done, but it can answer the thousands of questions that your mind had conjured in his absence. You offered him a stale muffin and a glass of water without a sound.
CHILDE
One morning on your usual Sunday grocery run, you look up from the box of berries you were inspecting to see a familiar face down the walkway. You steeled yourself with a deep breath, looked up, made eye contact, and he smiled, giving you a sheepish wave.
You huffed, hurriedly paying for your produce and turning away from Childe before moving onto the next stall. He tried to keep up, but you ignored him, completely icing him out as you haggled for a better deal on a sack of flour. The shopkeeps gave you weird looks as he begged for your attention, and then gave him pitiful looks as you moved on again. You honestly had never seen him so close to tears in public, the harbinger was usually dutifully composed, but not now.
Persistent and stubborn as ever, he didn’t stop until you finished your loop of the marketplace. Only then did you stop and acknowledge him. He looked devastated. Lost. You sighed. He asked how you’ve been. You were honest. You asked how his work was. He said he’s been better. He offered to carry your groceries. You obliged.
Childe knew the walk to your home well, as he too had lived there once. The walk was stiff, uncomfortable, despite the familiarity creeping into your bones. When you got together you knew it was a possibility, but it didn’t make it forgivable, only somewhat understandable. He hesitated at the door when you’d arrived home, unsure of his belonging anymore. You just took the bag and shrugged. He came inside.
WANDERER
You read the notes he’d left. You still weren’t sure what you could believe out of that lying traitor’s mouth. He’d left you after he’d promised to never leave, after you had named him for archons’ sake. Wanderer was supposed to be yours forever and then he ruined it all and somehow he wants forgiveness? Absolutely not.
You wrote a letter of your own in return, not even bothering to fold it neatly, and stormed over to Nahida’s office to deposit it with her. Before you could make it to her, you’d crossed paths with Wanderer himself. You shoved the letter into his chest with more force than he’d expected, turned on your heel, and marched back towards home.
What you did not expect, however, was for him to call out after you. Then once you ignored him enough, he began to hurry after you, continuing to try to get you to respond. I guess nonchalance comes second to trying to win you back. You stopped walking away. He said “please listen to me.” You asked if he’d been lying. You hadn’t even turned to face him. Wanderer’s hands hovered over your shoulder, trying to decide if he should make contact, your letter still balled in his fist.
“I know I don’t have the best track record, I know it won’t be easy to believe me, let alone get close to forgiving me, but I need to try. You were the only person to ever see me as such, and of course I managed to ruin it. Can you at least look at me while I beg for forgiveness?” So you turned around.
a/n: i gave them too much mercy.
