Ukitake Jushiro- Oneshot: (Rivals) - Extra 2.
“Are you alright, (L/N)-san.”
Your grip on his shirt tightens, and you nod, lips parted as you try to catch your breath. Ukitake wears an easy smile as his hand travels down your back. Your body arches into him, and you bury your face in his chest this time.
You’re the one who made the bold declaration. Since then he’s taken every opportunity he can. His touches are so soft, sometimes taunting. Even his voice right now is teasing as you clutch onto his body.
The kiss you’d parted from just a moment ago still has your mind cloudy. You’re seated in his room, on his futon as he continues to gently explore your body. He’s been very careful, and he always checks to ensure you’re comfortable. Maybe that’s what’s so arousing. He tends to take his time, like he’s admiring every spot, every curve of your body as his hands trail down.
Your robes are slightly parted, so his hand is caressing bare skin. You jolt, and he places a kiss on the top of your head with a soft laugh.
“Are you at your limit?”
You lift your head to retaliate, but he kisses you and every thought just flies right out your head. You moan when his grip tightens just a bit. His tongue is doing what feels like forbidden things and your legs quiver.
Jushiro finally pulls away, and you slump against him. He wears a warm smile.
“I believe that’s enough for today.”
He sounds so cheeky, and you’d like to complain, but you’re still recovering.
“What an adorable expression.”
He presses a kiss to your cheek and you glare weakly.
“M-Meanie..”
You finally get out.
It always seems to end that way.
His touch is all you need and you’re mush.
You sigh in content as you step out of your barracks the following day. Hanataro greets you with a smile when he catches sight of you. He stops by every now and then.
You’re always happy for the company. You don’t realize you’re a bit dazed until Hanataro questions it.
“Are you okay, you’ve been zoned out for a while (Y/N)-chan.”
You nod at Hanataro. It’s hard to focus when all you can think about is your many nightly visits with Ukitake. You’re just thankful that your face hasn’t gone completely red.
You get busy with tasks for the rest of the day, and you’re not surprised when Rangiku offers to take you out for drinks.
Any excuse to drink makes her happy.
“So how’s things going with you and Ukitake-taicho!”
She nudges your arm and you blush as you look down. She’s already four bottles in.
Kira laughs.
“Don’t pay her any mind (L/N)-san.”
“Aww you’re no fun, I bet they’re so lovey dovey, right?”
She hugs you and your blush darkens. You’re not sure what to say, but the laughter from the table next to draws your attention.
“Give me a break, she thinks because she’s dating a captain she’s hot stuff.”
The words of another reaper makes your gaze drift. There’s a few women at the table, and Rangiku looks pissed at her words.”
“Whaddaya say!!”
She’s lifting her bottle threateningly, but the woman just smirks. You’re not that surprised. Given your position of course they would question the relationship.
“You heard me. I bet you he’s the one who’s always making the first move. Guys get bored and tired when they have to do all the work. He’s probably going to break up with you in a week.”
The statement shocks you, and Rangiku yells at the group of girls, flipping the table over in her drunken stupor.
After that you’re all kicked out for the night.
Kira spent most of the time apologizing, and Rangiku is still protesting that her actions were warranted given the circumstances. Honestly you’re grateful to her for stepping in.
So as you decide that you should probably retire to your room. You try to plant the most convincing smile, but it’s difficult. The idea of Jushiro growing tired of you and ending things is terrifying.
“Ukitake-taicho would never…do something like that.”
You know him, he’s a gentleman.
But..
“He’s probably going to break up with you in a week.”
You can’t get it out of your head. Clenching your fist, you take off in a run. You know you shouldn’t act impulsively, but their words aren’t entirely wrong. Jushiro has been the one making all the advances and he always stops halfway because of your inexperience.
“I’ll show them.”
The second you land in front of his door, you're determined.
You knock, and in a matter of seconds, it’s opened.
Jushiro is wearing a smile.
“Ah, (L/N)-san would you like some-”
He shouts in surprise when you tackled him to the ground. You’d barely made it fully into the room, and the door slides shut.
His eyes widen when you kiss him with a sense of urgency. It’s startling, but he can’t help but reciprocate. The heat of your kiss leaves him lightheaded, and when you pull away and pull at the front of his robes, he stares, a bit out of breath.
“(L/N)-san, a-are you alright.”
You don’t truly respond, just press your lips to his chest that is now exposed and he closes his eyes at the gentle touch. It’s placed right over his heart, and he’s certain that it has increased with that simple action.
Your hands are groping every part they can find, and you’re littering kisses over his chest. He’s not certain why you’re being this forward. For a moment he thinks you’ve just had a trying mission and you’re worried, but when your lips begin to trail lower, he’s breathless.
“(L/N)-san w-wait..”
He’s trying to hold his ground, but with each kiss you leave on his skin, he seems more aware. You’re going down his body, and when you reach for the tie at his waist, he snaps. You jolt, because your back hits the floor and you stare up in shock.
He looks so frazzled, and it just makes you feel more inadequate. You couldn’t even do one single task. Before you can stop them, the tears start rushing down and Jushiro is stunned.
“(Y/N)-san..”
His hold on your wrists releases and you cover your face as you cry.
“E-Even with something so simple I-I failed. I-I don’t want you to get tired of me..I-I love you Ukitake-taicho…”
The realization of your actions is humbling.
“I..I can’t satisfy you, n-not the way you do for me and I..I don’t want you to..to...”
Jushiro cups your cheek.
“If my feelings for you were so fleeting, then I am the one who is not worthy of you.”
His words make your eyes shake.
“My feelings, they are more than just physical. I would not have pursued you if I were only after my own pleasure. Love should be earnest and pure. When I hold you, touch you, it’s not solely with the expectation of wanting you to make me feel good. I love you, and I want to cherish you in whatever way I can. That is what I convey when we are close, when we hold each other.”
You’re at a loss, because he definitely said love.
“I would like to stay by your side for as long as our lives permit it, and my hope is that you feel the same.”
Your eyes well up with more tears.
“I-I want that to..”
He smiles.
“Then there is nothing for either of us to worry about.”
You can’t believe how easily he’s quelled all your fears. He hugs you, and you hold on, relieved, happy.

Now that you’ve settled, seated in his room, you can’t help but ask.
Fidgeting, you look over at him.
“S-So why did you pull away Ukitake-taicho?”
He stiffens at the question, and you’re a bit confused by the flush on his cheeks.
“W-Well the truth is..if you’d continued I would not have last. You’re a bit too much for me (L/N)-san.”
You don’t get it, not until the words register and when they do, you’re blushing too. You look down shyly and he laughs despite his embarrassment.
It’s clear that your fears of being unable to satisfy him were for nothing.
