while i am halfheartedly glad for the rise of ‘self care’ articles and books, the other half of my heart mourns when i wasn’t super bombarded with the latest trends. every single time i do something, i feel guilty for not doing it the way some influencer recommended it be done. there are 16 different ways to go about your morning routine, and all 16 of them claim to be ‘the one’, the routine that will change your life for the better. trying to look up a recipe means you will have to trudge through 10 different articles about how you could just replace the sugar with something else or better yet not make the food at all. i love getting advice, but what happens when every piece of advice from a different source is the one I should be listening to….
