How do you deal with the deathly parts of your job? Are there any special rituals or anything?
The rituals help, little shadow. I've seen humans performing various death rituals over the years, because the rituals help.
Even when you're the one taking the life. They help.
Shifting into Moonshadow form is itself a ritual, when it is done on a mission at the proper time. Balancing life and death upon the edge of my blade - this is what I do. The choice to end suffering, and with it any further potential for joy, is never an easy one. But it must be made.
And so: the rituals help.
The Moonshadow form, The Black Step, the Final Flare, the Eyes upon the Moon, the Shuttering. The Broken Arrow. The Assassin's Gift.
Ethari has rituals for me when I get home, too. They help just as much, if not more. I could not do what I do without him, not in any useful way at all.
