Alright today's a bone picking day because it's been a feature in a lot of the fics I've read recently. Why does every other fic or more have Ilya as an untidy man slob who Shane has to clean up after or is constantly on at to empty bins or put dirty clothes in the hamper.

Have you seen how immaculate that Boston house is! Also we literally see him cleaning up for his father in Russia! Not to mention he made all the arrangements for his father's care and funeral and burial. That man is tidy, organised and detail orientated. Ilya and Shane are matched in that respect and I will die on this hill!

Give me fics where it's a running joke that you could eat off the floor or out of the toilet at the Rozanov-Hollander household because it's always so spotless.

I do find it incredibly odd to see people complaining about the "toxic" relationships in Homestuck. Like, wow, puritan culture really has seeped into all parts of the Internet.

I'm sorry if you can't handle reading about imperfect relationships without realizing it doesn't mean the writing condones those relationships or that people might find the characters entertaining without it implying that they actually condone those actions. Or the fact that the characters themselves are children, with the majority being 13 to 16 years old. I don't know if you ever interacted with kids, but they can be assholes.

Like, go watch Bluey if you can't handle drama.

The worst part about taking a book and turning it into a Sims story is having to figure out what everyone is wearing every scene. And having to make and dress NPCs. And making sets.

Spent the whole day waiting to speak to an orthopedic surgeon about my dad’s spinal stenosis/herniated disc and got referred to an endoscopic specialist we go see Thursday. He’s been in so much pain for 6 weeks he can’t sleep (much less walk) until he passes out from exhaustion. It’s really hard to watch. I’ve been told there is no pain medication, including an epidural, that can help (nothing has so far, certainly) but we’re gonna go see a pain clinic tomorrow just in case…even if we get on this drs surgical calendar, we’re still looking at 2-4 weeks of constant pain until they can fit us in. This story is in no way unique…we’re honestly lucky he’s Medicaid AARP bc we didn’t require any additional clearances. Anyway…sending love to ppl living with chronic pain tonight.
