Blackridge, Oregon, claimed the title of The Nameless City in an attempt to attract tourists after the tragedy that shook the close-knit coastal town. Amongst the aftermath of Columbine, a disgruntled student arrived at Seal Coast Community High School with a list of names and a gun. The shooter and nine victims died in the shooting. Months later, the last survivor would die under mysterious circumstances, giving birth to the rumors in Blackridge that there’s a curse using names to kill.
Twenty years later, the Clairwaters are moving back to their hometown of Blackridge to reunite with family in the midst of a divorce. Two siblings, Fiora and Atlus, are the newest students of Seal Coast Community High School, where students shield behind aliases, rules, and traditions relentlessly, almost to the point of life or death. A LIFE WORTH LOSING
On his eighteenth birthday, Max decided he was going to die. His last day alive is spent with friends, unknowingly to them, to say goodbye. To celebrate what is supposed to be a special day, they spend the night at the infamous Fairfell Hotel that is most known for being allegedly haunted by the ghost, Francis Fitzgerald who died by suicide on the hotel’s opening day in 1922. With nothing left to lose, what could go wrong for a boy who already plans to die?
Unbeknownst to him, Max is tricked into signing a contract giving up his soul to the ghost that haunts the hotel—a ghost whose own life was tragically cut too short. Per this contract, under no circumstances can Max die. Not if he burns, or if his body is torn apart. Forever he will live and forever he will suffer. In order for Max to fulfill his end of the contract and finally get his wish of dying, he must show this ghost a life worth living. A story of friends, found family, love, new lease on life, and tragedy.
Coming summer 2026
A LIFE WORTH RELIVING
Francis Fitzgerald was born to a traditional American family 1904. Growing up, now eighteen years old in 1922, he knows he is different from the other boys, but keeps that part of himself hidden in exchange for the approval of his parents. As far as they know, he is the perfect son. Despite this, Francis was seduced by a successful, wealthy, and seemingly too good to be true older silent film star who invites him to the grand opening of the infamous Fairfell Hotel—a place protested by God fearing parents like Mother and Father. But Francis’s need for fulfillment would tragically lead to his premature demise.
Over a hundred years later have passed with Francis’s soul trapped in the hotel and he’s desperate for an escape. That’s when fate walks in": a boy named Max, and Max wants to die. The ghost who wants to live tricks the boy who wants to die into signing a contract, stating they both must live a life worth living. With that, Francis can finally leave the hotel in which he’s been haunting and this boy from the 1920s joins modern teenagers in a modern world. A story of friends, found family, acceptance, new lease on life, and tragedy.

me: Time to get some stuff (aka story screenshots) done.
also me: Okay, so for the next scene I need a ballet studio. I could just decorate a box-shaped room but what if I want to take screenshots in front of the studio? I should probably do a proper build instead. I also want to hang up some paintings of the ballet teacher and her former students, so I need to take those and then turn them into cc paintings. I could also check Pinterest for some matching ballet cc [...].
And this is how I ended up making 0 progress on the actual story screenshots. 🙃
(Please tell me I'm not the only one struggling with stuff like this.)
