Rain ghoul design
A quick design of Rain with the muzzle, because I have a lot of little worms in my rotten brain, and muzzled ghouls cure my depression, take care of my dog when I'm not at home, and pay my taxes. So, I've decided that you all need them. I know each drawing has a different style, and I'm really trying to figure out which style to use, which is comfortable, and which I prefer.
The best hot-dogs in the city👌☺️
You know you're spanish when you come back home from dinner at 2:45am
Surprise
Happy HanLeia Appreciation Week! For day 1′s prompt (Hope), I chose to write the continuation of my recent ficlet Just Dinner, in which Leia learns some surprising news during a Han/Leia and Luke/Wedge double date.
In the restaurant, she’d been calm, witty, taking charge of the situation and making sure that all the effort she and Han had put into finally getting Luke and Wedge to talk to each other about their relationship had not been in vain. She’d smoothly paid the bill, bid the two blushing lovebirds goodbye, and traded flirtatious references with Han about “dessert.”
Now, at Han’s side in the speeder on their way home, Leia was quietly freaking out at what her brother—kriffing hells, Luke knew before I did!—had accidentally revealed to her during dinner.
I’m right, aren’t I? You were going to tell us about the baby.
There was a baby. Well, if she wanted there to be one, there was.
Oh Goddess, there’s a baby. There’s a baby. It didn’t feel real, even though her mind insisted on playing it on repeat: a baby a baby a baby a baby. Our baby. And each time her mind played it back, she felt an echo of sorts in the Force confirming it.
It’s not that they hadn’t talked about it. They had, at length. And they’d decided, yes, let’s do that, if we can. But they hadn’t been trying to make it happen just yet.
I guess some would say that being cavalier with one’s birth control counts as trying.
Then again, they’d also talked about what to do if it didn’t happen for them, if the effects of carbon freezing and Imperial torture drugs had rendered one or both of them infertile. Like everything else, Leia had expected it to be difficult. Not to just…happen.
“You’re awful quiet, Princess,” Han said, and Leia realized she hadn’t said much of anything since leaving the restaurant. “Everything okay?”
She smiled at him. “Fine. I’m—“ she’d almost said we—“just fine. Just…thinking about something.”
A worried thought flashed across her mind. Are we fine? Is it—they—she—he—okay?
She reached out with the Force, for the first time calling to what couldn’t be more than a little clump of cells at this point in time. A little flicker answered back.
Hello, baby.
“Hey, no fair distracting Luke just to get the inside scoop,” Han said. She must have had what Han liked to refer to as “Force face” just now.
“I was just thinking about—dessert,” she said.
“Oh yeah?” Han asked. “Got something in mind?”
She smiled. “Prepare to be surprised.”
Gee, I wonder if anyone is curious about what happens after Just Dinner ends and Han and Leia go home for “dessert”?
When I said that sometime your own characters surprise you, that little reveal was the surprise. Was not expecting Luke to say that...until he did. And then I just had Leia react accordingly.
Never fear, friends, I’ll write a followup. Although I think it might involve Leia freaking out (because wouldn’t YOU?).

The Most Wonderful Time...
My close coworker tested positive for covid, and I spent 45 minutes in a car with her the day before she got sick. So there’s my Christmas plans gone.
