Finn probably has baby soft hands because storm troopers do most functions in full armor, gloves included. They don't apparently strip down for combat training our anything so you can assume that nearly everything Finn touched was filtered through his gloves, with the exception of perhaps his bed. Even if he did take them off, the tactile variety on a space fort is woefully small So, in addition to liking to hold Poe's (rough, gritty) hands or Rey's (smooth, dry) hands he also is very tactile and touches everything just to catalogue it. He drags them over walls, pulls leaves off bushes to rub them, compares different rocks, braids rey's hair and rubs the jacket until there are tell tale marks.
