I finally let myself acknowledge that it was my misery that has stolen my drive for creation

And now I must ask you

If I survive this long enough to see the other side, if I dream long enough to learn color and beauty again

Grey and plum find a letter from peach, and her wedding ring.

She explains if she stays, the island and them are in danger. But leaving will spare them all. She’s gone home, and asks them to move on, don’t follow her.

Plums seen a letter from her once before in the ranger days, and she didn’t see peach for 10 years after that. She falls apart.

Grey doesn’t get the chance to feel sad, he’s got to get her back, and plums crushed, he’s got to be there for her too. He is totally overwhelmed, and does not get time to feel the crushing sadness that’s creeping in.

Cut to seeing peach go home. Her mother waits at the doors to the house, each room filled with bad memories. She is defeated.
