I'll admit the teenage years are complex and hard (emotionally, mentally and spiritually).

But i don't believe they are any tougher to endure than adulthood or old age. While each phase of life has it's own unique problems, none of them can be called the worst or the best.

I take issue with this common mis(?)conception that the teenage years are something to be "struggled through" and how teenagers are "fighting the worst battle of their life".

The more we perpetuate this sentiment, the more we build self-pity in teenagers, leading to them not living up to their full potential. Instead, they'll wallow in a self-made pit of "this is hard for me", "this is beyond me", "i am worthless" and so on and so forth (cuz once you make up your mind about something being difficult, it'll actually become difficult)
