In your opinion - which ice dance team is the most underrated?
Hawayek/Baker by far. Starting the 2018/19 season they should have scored way higher than they actually did. They had better skating skills than most of the teams who were beating them that quad - Chock/Bates, Stepanova/Bukin, Sintisina/Kastalapov, Gillies/Porier, Fournier Beaudry/Sørensen, Smart/Diaz, not to mention Fear/Gibson.
To think that their only championship medal is from 4CC in an Olympic season (so most top skaters were out) and that they only made it to GPF twice is truly criminal. They were so much better than how they were scored, and I can't think of any other team that came close to being that criminally underscored in recent years.
I also just noticed that they finished 11th at 2022 Olympics, istg I forgot just how insane that is.
To summarize, this is a team that should have been on worlds and likely Olympic podium but was never allowed to rise.
