BASIC TIMELINE INFORMATION

sans is the older brother between him and papyrus

sans brings lunch to the ferryman, gaster

sans spent a lot of time around doctor river person and learned how to play chess quite well from them ( this is where he also grew fascinated with stars / history )

sans is very bright and easily excitable , as such many people think he is fake or ingenuine when he speaks so he has little to no friends

papyrus is the reason sans thinks he’s supposed to be on guard duty ; captain alphys only lets him do it because papyrus promised to keep him out of trouble

sans spars with and is about as strong as captain alphys physically ( he could probably pick up mettaton / dj blooky if he tried but wouldn’t be able to carry them for long ) 

sans enjoys spending time around the queen ; she seems so hurt and he offers her tea and spends time trying to help her out

I finally completed what I believe will be the final editing pass for the first chapter of Here Before, because surprise, a 17k chapter still had tiny, various spelling/grammar errors that i still needed to correct, and some light re-phrasing on some awkward sentences. With that out of the way, I hope to read my book on education because I really do need some basic info at this point, and I did pay money for the damn thing, haha. I am also looking forward to a quiet Sunday. Please be peaceful. I was so tired today.

The Temple ~

    This ancient Ionian temple was built long before it became a prison for a powerful demon. It is remote, surrounded by the woods and peaceful nature. It used to be a well regarded sacred place, often visited by traveling monks and Ionian elders. Some monks and well known martial art masters preferred this place for meditation or relaxing after a rough day. Also, certain important ceremonies used to be held there. The Temple's light and harmonious energy was favoured by many Ionians and travelers.

  However, cause of attraction became the reason why it was the most fitting place to confine a demon. As the great Pallas was captured, the sacred energy helped to keep him weakened and prevented him from regaining his powers. After imprisonment, the Elders had surrounded the Temple by the strongest ancient binding and protective spells making sure that demon goes nowhere. It's remote location protected the Ionians in the case of emergency and also hid the Temple from the enemies. In fear of someone releasing The Evil and using it's wrath against them, the Elders had assigned their best warriors - Wardens of the Temple - to protect it. This duty was inherited from father to son or handed over to the other best warrior in some unusual circumstances. With time it became one of the most honourable titles in the nation.

  The longer demon resided in it, the more Temple's once harmonious sacred energy got corrupted. It's beautiful exterior became rather grim and somber. The nature seemed to wither or deviate from its natural qualities. Even animals seemed to be avoiding this place, fearing the demon's negative energy. Locked away it didn't pose any threat to Ionia, but Elders always kept the concern about the entity slowly getting stronger and Wardens becoming more susceptible to it, in the back of their minds. It was clear that only the best must be the ones who protect it and soon simple humans wouldn't be enough. The Elders were delighted when the position was inherited by the last Warden's son who happened to be a strong and skilled Arclight. They were sure, that his holy energy will not only protect and contain the demon, but also bring some new life to the surroundings.

      Who could've known that only in few years the Noxian invasion will bring chaos into this harmonious land and the Arclight - Varus - will be the one to liberate the demon.
