Awsten…
.
I finished s1 but damn hannibals driving me crazy I like. I need to watch it all i need to
Also Im currently stuck on what the stag will sees is supposed to symbolize? Trauma? The truth? Guilt? Like it shows up when Will is recreating scenes and when hes thinking deeply .. also when hes sleepwalking.. and the fact its only a stag bc of the Hobbs murders well it def has to be something that started at that point.. seeing how the stag eventually evolved into his view of hannibal, as that half deer man, id say its all 3... like when it shows up its almost always as a result or a symptom of wills worsening / exposing himself to more trauma
is the stag Hannibal in a way? it does feel like Hannibal is the source of most of wills trauma by far [starting by calling hobbs that day] or is that the stag represents what hannibal does for will too. . well i think one thing for sure is that it always shows up when will is getting worse and even more that its always tied to truth in a way .
I think that's pretty concise...... I think that's even like ... it could sum up s1 how its wills pursuit of truth that's always hurting him and making him get worse. other reasons why the stag could be the truth is that its when he realizes the truth about Hannibal, again, Hannibal appears as a stag man creature but this is also when hes reached like the absolute bottom - arrested and being unsure of what is real or whats happened or anything .
yeah then Id probably cross out guilt as one of the things it represents.. idk this probably isnt it but its my interpretation and it makes sense to me.. idk what a stag symbolizes on its own tho like outside the context of the show. hunting i guess. well I’d say that's more a thing related to Hobbs than to Will. just tying it further how much killing Hobbs effected him.
for those of you who are wondering if hadestown is really all that it’s cracked up to be live on broadway, i can safely say that it’s more
