Haven’t spoken to my mom in four months but she sent me a crap apology. I really want to call her, not to accept it. Not to say I love her. But how fucking dare she make me feel like shit. How dare she tell me being trans was a phase and belittle me about it for years. How dare she tell me my looks embarrassed her in public and tell me my clothes made her look bad. How horrible of a mindset can you have to where instead of researching and looking for advice for your child, you torture them with gaslighting, apathy, etc. until they literally try to kill themselves.

Hurting my feelings isn’t a way of showing love. The emotion you show to your boyfriend’s is.
