ok tho, real talk abt carl’s injury ----- it’s not easy learning to live with one eye, and while the show has brushed over and continues to brush over his recovery, he still sometimes struggles, and while he can definitely still use a gun and can hit a target, he’s not the crack shot that he used to be. he has to work and think about and put everything into perspective to actually aim successfully. enid even says she’s a better shot than him and while she quickly says she didn’t mean it like that she’s not wrong ----- it’s hard for him, even if he won’t admit to it, and even simple things get to him. chandler once said that while wearing the bandage he’ll swat at bugs that aren’t even close to him ----- he has literally no depth perception whatsoever and a giant blind spot. he’ll run into things in unfamiliar places and if he’s not really aware he’ll miss people or even walkers coming up right beside him. it’s hard for him and he tries to play it off as nothing but it’s a big thing and it’s frustrating for him.
