Can you feel the longing? The fact that they’ve always, as they grew up, had windows facing each other. Like an invisible string tying them together all along, a symbolism of their connection. Yet a physical barrier between them that keeps them as passive actors in the face of this connection. It’s only after they meet time and time again in that garden and they finally kiss that the barrier breaks. From that point on they are no longer looking at each other through windows but are active participants in this relationship
